Einer der 14 Tūpuna Maunga (Urberge) in der Region Auckland. Mit 196 m Höhe ist Maungawhau oder Mount Eden der höchste Vulkan in Auckland. Vom Gipfel aus können Sie einen spektakulären Blick auf die Stadt und ihre Häfen genießen.
Der Cornwall Park ist der größte Vulkanpark in Auckland. Sir John Logan Campbell schenkte Neuseeland 1901 den Cornwall Park Viele Aucklander gehen in diesen Park zum Picknicken und Grillen. Im Park gibt es viele Schafe und Kühe. Diese Tiere gehören der Gemeinde. Mit mehr als 350 Arten und 8000 Bäumen ist der Cornwall Park ein Paradies für Baumliebhaber!
Das Hotel liegt im sanft hügeligen Land im Osten von Auckland. Dies ist einer der bekanntesten Gärten Neuseelands, der sich durch weitläufige Rasenflächen und informelle, aber detaillierte Gemälde von Teichen und Wasserläufen auszeichnet. Ein starker, aber sensibler Einsatz von Farbe ist ein Markenzeichen von Ayrlies, das am besten in der grellen Rabatte zu sehen ist, wo „heiße“ Farben mit großer Wirkung eingesetzt werden, und in anderen Bereichen, in denen alte Rosen, Clematis und Stauden in romantischer Fülle kombiniert werden. Der Garten umfasst jetzt etwa 4 Hektar hügeliges Gelände mit großen Rasenflächen, Teichen und Wasserfällen. Jetzt, über 50 Jahre, nähert sich der Garten seiner Reife. Bäume und Sträucher bilden eine wechselnde Kulisse für den Garten. Die Sichtlinien zum Golf von Hauraki und innerhalb des Gartens werden durch sorgfältige Baumzucht erhalten. Ein großes Ayrlies-Feuchtgebiet verbindet den Garten mit dem Meer.

Lenna was wonderful. She was our personal guide for the day. We visited beautiful Ayrlies Garden & Wetlands and Cornwall Park with spectacular views. Would highly recommend this tour, especially if you are a gardener and hopefully get Lenna as your guide!

Our guide was excellent - arrived on time, provided guides to the gardens we visited, knew the spots to view the highlights and drove a route that allowed us to enjoy scenes around Auckland. We were the only visitors in the morning to Arylies Garden which was an outstanding garden to visit.

What a wonderful tour! We visited four beautiful parks and had incredible views of the city. The stop at Arylies Gardens and Wetlands alone was worth the price. Sean is an outstanding guide and his knowledge of the local history and culture is first rate!
