Die Auckland Harbour Bridge thront über dem Waitemata Harbour und ist ein wichtiges Stück Infrastruktur. Sie ist die einzige Brücke, die die Metropole des zentralen Geschäftsviertels mit der North Shore und darüber hinaus mit Northland verbindet.
North Head, auch bekannt unter seinem Māori-Namen Maungauika, ist ein historischer Vulkankegel in Devonport am Eingang zum Waitematā Harbour von Auckland. Es wurde vor rund 50.000 Jahren gegründet und bietet einen spektakulären Panoramablick auf Auckland City, Rangitoto Island und den Hauraki-Golf. Im späten 19. Jahrhundert wurde sie zu einer wichtigen Küstenfestung, und heute können Besucher militärische Tunnel, Geschützstellungen und verschwindende Geschütze erkunden. Der Winter Garden at Auckland Domain ist ein historischer Gewächshauskomplex mit tropischen und gemäßigten Pflanzen, einer atemberaubenden Ferne und eleganten Gewächshäusern. Es wurde Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts erbaut und ist ein beliebter Ort für Besucher, um seltene Blumen, saisonale Ausstellungen und eine friedliche Atmosphäre zu genießen.
Die Holy Trinity Cathedral ist das weltweit einzige architektonische Beispiel einer pazifisch-gotischen Kathedrale. Sie können ein Gefühl von Erhabenheit und Schönheit zugleich verspüren. Sie können auch die St. Mary Church sehen, die fast ausschließlich aus Kauri-Holz, einem in Neuseeland heimischen Holz, gebaut ist und eine der wenigen Holzkirchen der Welt ist, die im gotischen Stil gebaut wurden. Auf der Nachmittagstour gehen wir wegen der Schließzeit nicht zur Holy Trinity Cathedral, sondern zum Winter Garden.

Great communication from tour provider arriving at meeting point as promised. My partner is wheelchair bound but this presented no problem on this tour with our guide Israel eager to assist. This is a great half day tour and recommend to give you a chance to see around outside of the city.

We can highly recommend this tour with our guide Israel. It covered nearly total Auckland and gave us a good overview over the city. Israel gave us excellent information and brought us to many sites. of interest. Would be happy to do another tour with him when we have chance to come back to Auckland. By the way - he took amazing photos of us during the tour - we will have the best memories!

Tour guide had great communication via what’s app, and accommodating , pick us up at cruise pier We did stopped at all the major landmarks and were provided with history . Mount Eden Winter gardens North head ( Devonport) Marina Auckland harbour Bridge We were lucky to have great weather after arriving with rain . I was also interested in the gannet colony and nature. So Israel did agree to take us to Murawai , black sand beach after the tour, and stayed about an Hr. We did make it back to our ship with plenty of time to spare .

The worst tour guide. If you state you speak English it should be understandable English. We couldn't understand a word she was saying and she couldn't understand us. She used a prerecorded tape to explain where we were going next. We could at least understand that. Really didn't k ow where she was going. The worst tour of the trip.

We had a very pleasant 3.5+ tour with Jun on a beautiful Auckland day. He took us to historical and culturally significant sites. We enjoyed great views of the city and harbor and a short but lovely walk through the botanical gardens. He also took photos of us in several locations which was a bonus. My one minor complaint was not knowing in advance that the short walks we took involved a couple of steep areas. Due to a bad knee, I would have brought a trekking pole for support if I had known.

Isreal was and outstanding tour guide. We traveled all round Auckland and he pointed out points of interest along with a scenic overlook of Auckland. Very knowledgeable with facts and historical significance. Love using Viatoe. Have never had a bad tour with them.
