Reiseverlauf

This tour was a lot of fun. Drew our guide was perfect. He knew a lot of obscure and interesting things to see. The Piha black sand beach was beautiful and very different than the black sand beaches in Hawaii. He gave us the freedom to hose what we wanted to see while on the tour. We did 4 tours with this company and from the very first we felt like good friends.
It was such a pleasure hosting and and we are delighted you enjoyed your tour with us so much. Piha Beach on our amazing west coast is really stunning and we loved reading that you enjoyed it so much! Neill Sperath
Just a clarification about the composition of the small group that participated in this tour experience - none of the options offered fit the actual group that I was part of. That being said, I am not speaking hyperbolically to say that the tour guide - Donna - was an amazing blessing to me and my Bride in her facilitation of the tour experience ❤️. Donna's insights and knowledge of New Zealand's history, culture and development provided us with a great sense of connection, so we felt like we were doing a meaningful dive into something vibrant and evolving. We especially appreciated the way that Donna answered all our questions and took special care to go beyond merely answers by providing useful background information that added significant context to the information shared 👍 😀 Thank you Donna for your buoyant and uplifting exuberance for your profession and your warmth of personality extended to us!! YOU made ours truly an amazing day ❤️ Grace and peace ...
We really appreciate the time you took to write this review and wishing you all the very best in your further travels. Thanks, Neill & Ceillhe Sperath
We had a fantastic day touring the area with Curtis. Even though it rained on and off all day, we managed to see all the highlights. Curtis was passionate about respecting and protecting the natural environment in and around Auckland. He offered great insight into the history of the city, and the role we play in keeping it as such a special place. The centuries old Kera kera tree and the school of Conger eels near Piha were special highlights. After 19 hours in the air and a poor night’s sleep, this was a great way to kick off our month in New Zealand.

Drive over the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge, spanning the sparkling blue waters of the Waitemata Harbour dotted with white sails, from which you can marvel at the iconic view back to Auckland’s skyline. Visit the Arataki Visitor Centre at the gateway to Te Wao Nui o Tiriwa, the great forest of the Maori ancestor Tiriwa, also known as the Waitakere Ranges. We're delighted to read that you enjoyed our tour and our wonderful guide Curtis so much! Neill Sperath
We were collected from our Hotel slightly earlier than expected. So definitely no waiting for transport. After introductions we were curteously escorted to a clean and comfortable mini bus. Driving to our next pick up Drew (our driver and guide for the day) informed us of his background and life experiences in a friendly and open manner. We collected a family of three (husband, wife and son) after a short five minute drive in traffic and our party for the excursion was complete. Drew introduced everyone and outlined how the day would unfold. We visited all the sights detailed in the intinery with Drew providing information on each place on the way to the sight and while at the place concerned. Drew's friendly outgoing nature help the group to gel and increased the enjoyment of the day. We were blessed with good weather and good company and all of us appreciated Drew's contribution to the experience. We would definitely recommend the tour and if any of you are lucky enough to draw Drew as your driver/guide, don't be surprised if you have a fun and informative experience.
An exceptional experience with Donna, our private tour guide for 2 days. She is very knowledgeable, kind and fun. We recommend the tour and Donna!
We were fortunate enough to have had Donna as our tour guide. Donna’s knowledge of the culture, landscape, history and flora/fauna of New Zealand, and the Auckland area in particular, was amazing. Often, tours like this seem dry, but Donna’s personality and obvious love of her country and culture made for a thoroughly enjoyable day. I highly recommend this tour-and ask for Donna!
We enjoyed a fantastic all day tour with Donna who is very personable, knowledgeable and engaging. She explained in much detail the history of the area and shared wonderful insights into Māori culture. She filled our day with adventure, great conversation and beautiful sights. We could not have asked for better a day in Auckland and the surrounding forest. Thank you Donna - we will certainly be back!
On our Auckland City & West Coast Luxury Tour, our manuhiri (guests) get to experience the very best of Auckland city as well as the Waitakere Ranges on Auckland’s famous West Coast on a small group in one spectacular day. We're glad you enjoyed it so much! Neill Sperath
From the first energetic Kia Ora when she met us in our hotel lobby and the “official” Māori greeting until the parting hug at the end of the day Donna was pure joy. We spent an informative and relaxed full day on this tour as Donna shared her knowledge of and passion for her home town and her Māori culture. She showed us details of the CBD and suburban neighborhoods, memorials, mountains, beaches, forests, and the Winter Garden with energy and knowledge. This day is the next to last excursion of our 5 1/2 week tour of Australia and New Zealand, and it couldn’t have ended on a higher note—all thanks to Donna. Thank you
Curtis was amazing and so entertaining!!! He picked us up promptly for our all day city tour. We had the best time learning about the history of Auckland and New Zealand. We had lovely conversations about the Māori culture and historic sites. He took plenty of time to answer our questions and give us recommendations for restaurants, shopping and excursions. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a fun and relaxing experience.

Just had the best day! Donna was our driver/guide and was superb! From the moment of pickup from my hotel, she was friendly and informative! We picked up two more couples and the 6 of us had the best day enjoying the sites in and around Auckland! Donna checked with us throughout the day to ensure we were comfortable, enjoying ourselves and provided options of stops to suit our little group. The vehicle was spotless and the attention to detail was above and beyond. Bottles of water and snacks were readily available as well as phone chargers!!! Thank you so much Donna for an unforgettable experience!! Highly recommend this tour company if you are looking for a friendly tour with your comfort and enjoyment at the top of the priority list!!
