Erkunden Sie Atlantas reiche Geschichte und lebendige Kultur durch die Linse seiner berühmtesten Häuser auf dieser wunderschön kuratierten Stadtrundfahrt. Unser erster Halt ist das Georgia Governor’s Mansion, wo die Gäste für eine Führung ins Innere treten und mehr über seine Architektur und historische Bedeutung erfahren. Öffentliche Führungen finden dienstags, mittwochs und donnerstags zwischen 10 :00 Uhr und 11 :30 Uhr statt.Freitags und samstags verlagert sich das Erlebnis in das berühmte Margaret Mitchell House, Heimat der Autorin von Gone With the Wind. Die Reise geht weiter mit einer Außenansicht nur des eleganten Swan House Herrenhauses, eines der meistfotografierten Wahrzeichen Atlantas. Anschließend pausieren wir für ein klassisches Southern Ladies Mittagessen im charmanten Swan Coach House, einer beliebten lokalen Institution (Mittagskosten nicht inbegriffen). Danach machen wir uns auf den Weg nach Midtown, um den historischen Ansley Park zu erkunden, ein wunderschön erhaltenes Viertel, das sich Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts mit malerischen Häusern entwickelte. Die Tour endet am ursprünglichen Abholpunkt.

Wir fahren durch das historische Buckhead, eine der wohlhabendsten Gegenden in Atlanta, die auch für ihre gehobene Manipulation, Restaurants und Einkaufszentren bekannt ist.
Wir gehen in die Villa des Gouverneurs
Wir halten am Schwanenhaus. Wir sehen die Außenseite des Hauses nur 10 Minuten lang
Unsere Mittagspause ist für eine Stunde im Swan Coach House. Das Mittagessen ist nicht im Tourpreis enthalten.
Wir besuchen auch die historische Rhodes Hall. Wir gehen nicht hinein.

Highly recommend! Shelley was amazing! We saw so much of Buckhead, had a delicious lunch at the Swan House and learned more about Dr. King.
Shelley was a terrific tour guide! She gave us a lot of information about Atlanta. She took us through many of the neighborhoods and explained each neighborhood and how the city is evolving. Stopping at the Swan Coach House for lunch was a true southern experience! And our lunch was delicious! I highly recommend this tour!

The tour was amazing Shelly guide was very informative and fun I would definitely recommend the store or any other tour with Shelly. Had a fun day and learned a lot about the history ofAtlanta, the Districts the Homes etc Shelly knows her stuff… will definitely be doing more tours with her!

It was my daughter and I and we got to tour the Governor's Mansion and the Margaret Mitchell House. If anything there just isn't enough time at each stop but there is so much to see while driving around it is understandable. Our driver was wonderful in providing not just the information as planned but in answering our many questions also. Lunch at the Swan House was delicious but took longer than anticipated (not the fault of the tour, the restaurant was super busy) so we didn't get any time for the gift shop which is probably better for my wallet anyway. I really appreciated they did our tour since there were only two of us on the tour that day. We not only had our tour guide but also a guide in training.

<p>We were scheduled for a pick-up time of 10:15-10:30, but our driver didn't come to the hotel until close to 10:45. Then he got lost on the way to the Atlanta History Center, and we turned around in multiple people's driveways trying to get there. When we got finally got there, we were dropped off and told that the guide was coming, and she didn't arrive for 30 minutes where we were just standing there. We then learned that the Smith Family Farm is an exhibit at the center and not something you actually travel to see, and the Swan House is also right on the property - all included if you just bought an entrance to the History Center. We also didn't know that there was a lunch that you would go to on the tour since it's not listed on this site, and although it was good food, we were hoping to spend 4 hours learning history - not an hour walking around and 90 minutes eating. After we had lunch, we were supposed to be picked up by our original driver and taken to the Margaret Mitchell House and around Buckhead, but he didn't show up. We had to uber to our hotel or wait 45 minutes for him to arrive. We were told we would get a refund, but only actually got 50 refunded. I enjoyed the sites, but would've been MUCH better off just going to the History Center myself and walking around. Waste of time and money. Very frustrating.</p>
We did not get either a tour of the Swan House or of the plantation/farm house. Our driver was often late and we had to wait. The lunch stop was excellent and the Margaret Mitchell house tour very interesting, but we only saw the outside of the Swan House and were dropped off at the Governor's Mansion.
