Athen Highlights mit dem E-Bike: Historische Tour in kleiner Gruppe

What a great way to get an overview of Athens! Today, Vas toured us and we learned so much. We appreciated having the ear piece to get route and history as we rode. They provided a free water bottle and at the end a map of areas we rode along with dinner recommendations. Very pleased with this activity.

We had an awesome guided e-bike ride all around Athens old and new! We covered so much ground and history in just three hours - so much more than we could have by foot. Plus our friendly guide was both a historian and anthropologist, so he added tremendous value to our experience and communicated via ear pieces throughout our ride. We also had several lovely stops along the way for photos and short discovery strolls. Solebike even treated us to amazing spanikopita from a local bakery after the bike ride!

THIS IS THE BEST BIKE TOUR IN ATHENS (10 reasons) Why? 1: It's 2.5/3 hours - short, sweet and won't blow your brain up with hours of historian facts and figures (and left me the rest of the day free, some others on the tour were from a cruise ship). 2: Guide Vas makes it lively and informative making me feel like I knew Athens. 3: on brand new bikes and they are the only bike operation to use the Whisper ear-piece (like walking tours) so he could talk to us and give us instructions as we rode (like 'look over here at this...") 4: enough stops so even non-bikers can handle it for sure. 5: owned by the nicest couple who sign you in etc - I loved discovering I was supporting a truly local business. 6: most of the ride was off public roads and through gardens . Super relaxing. 7: we went to sights I def would not have walked to (eg the agora at the acropolis, too far in the heat) or known about ( a hill top with a great Acropolis view with no one around) or timed right! ( saw the changing of the guard not at the main square but in a suburban side street outside an official's house, felt way more intimate) 8: also first time e-biking - so fun! 9: you start early so it's cooler. 10. OK, I have 9 reasons, but this should be enough to know if it's for you. I walked a LOT around Athens and doing it by bike was faster, cooler and it didn't matter when my iPhone went flat as my guide was my google maps, def a highlight of 4 days in Athens. Oh, here's #10! I loved this tour!!! The e-bikes were easy to use. The driver from the ship terminal to the shop was very friendly and shared a wealth of info. The couple that own the company were very friendly and helpful. I loved exploring Athens by bike. We were able to cover a lot of ground and get in and out of different areas easily. Very interesting and informative and definitely got to see and learn a lot. The guide was genuinely knowledgeable and friendly , he was a wealth of knowledge and fun to be around.( I feel bad because I forget his name). He was great and he tailored the trip and times spent in areas based on feedback. One of the beat tours and excursions I have been on. I highly recommend.

We did this our first day in Athens to help fight jet lag. It was great! Marios was fun, helpful, and full of knowledge. We were able to see a lot of Athens and get oriented with the city. We also did a food tour and a cooking class in Athens but this was our highlight.

Our guide Thomas was amazing. He is very knowledgeable in Greek architecture, history, and mythology. We have been through other tours involving historical sites but Thomas went a step above and had pictures of what the historical sites looked like at different periods of time. It really helped seeing an image, whichmade the education easier to understand. The bikes are very good. It is nice having a boost to help up the hills. We are not very athletic but found it very easy to manage the physical part of the tour.

This tour was so much fun!! We enjoyed our guided tour with Thomas - his vast knowledge of the Greek history was incredible. We learned so much and had so much fun riding through the city. Thank you

If you want a history tour and not a bike tour, then this is a good option.Vas is a very knowledgeable guide who likes to talk. However, on a three hour tour I don’t think we rode for more than 39 minutes. Very disappointing.

My wife & I (age 65 & 67) have never been on an e-bike and were a bit concerned … but the instructions were clear and the equipment & guides excellent. Our guide Vas was fantastic. Gave very interesting and informative explanations and history and was always interested in questions and our perspectives. He also was very patient with all levels of cycling capabilities and made the tour fun. If you have balance issues and are a bit older, I would suggest you only take the tour in shoulder seasons or times as it can get quite interesting navigating all the pedestrian traffic and cobblestones, but give it a try. You will have a blast and see fantastic perspectives around the Acropolis of Athens that you’ve never seen before!

Amazing experience with your guide Thomas! A history buff through and through. Thomas was very knowledgeable and you could tell he enjoyed and loved giving us the tour. It was so fun riding around on our e-bikes! Would highly recommend this tour!!
