This was the experience of a lifetime! You visit two wineries where you actually learn not only the process of making wine but also the history. The tastings are well thought out with pairings and detailed explanations of wine. Yet the best part of the tour for me was our guide; she was such a wonderful and friendly person to have a conversation with. We talked so much sometimes we forgot we were supposed to be tasting the wines! When I come back to Greece I surely will look for this experience again.
Learning the cultural relevance of grapes, winemaking, and cultivation was eye-opening to understanding the wineries! I learned a lot, and I enjoyed the tour!
Very knowledgeable sommelier. She really helped us understand about the intricacies of wine making and how to get the best out of the tastings. Also very good driver who pointed out places of interest on our way to the wineries and was skilled at negociating Athens traffic. They both helped us get the most out of the day. Both wineries made us very welcome.
Great tour! We visited 2 different wineries in the outskirts of Athens. We met both owners, which was something unexpected! We tasted 8 glasses of greek wines in total! - At the visit of the second winery, Maria, the owner's daughter, did the tour and she had prepared a delicious lunch, too!! - Awesome experience overall, Lemoni our sommelier/guide was with us all day long, speaking of wines. - Transit between stops was provided by a luxurious van, very comfortable. At return we kinda fell asleep :) as an effect of wine drinking and calm music playlists by the driver. Highly recommended overall -Cons: the only thing i didn't like was that the vineyards cannot ship bottles back to me. They told me i have to contact the country's associated dealer. I suppose it's a law restriction.
Thank you so much for your review! You were such a good company! We hope to see you again soon!
My family and I had a great time on this tour. We met great people and were very lucky to have had a great and knowledgeable driver, a sommelier who was our guide and a wonderful chef who was part of the group. . The two vineyards were lovely and the wine very good. We stopped a few times on the road to for amazing views as well. We had so much fun at the last vineyard that we went over time and did not do the olive oil tasting but we have zero regrets. Our guide Lemonia appeared to be new at giving wine tours but she certainly picked a great driver and was well prepared.
Thank you Melinda! It was a great pleasure to have you with us! Hope we see you again!!
