Sightseeing in Athen beginnt mit dem Hügel der Akropolis, die Ihren Tag machen wird. Auf dem historischen Hügel haben Sie die Möglichkeit, das Odeon des Herodes Atticus, den Tempel der Athena Nike, das monumentale Tor (Propylaea), das Erechtheum und natürlich den berühmten Parthenon, den Haupttempel der jungfräulichen Göttin Athena, zu sehen .
Das Propylaea ist der monumentale Eingang zum heiligen Bereich, der Athena, der Schutzgöttin der Stadt, gewidmet ist. Das vom Architekten Mnesicles aus pentelischem Marmor erbaute Design war avantgardistisch. Im Südwesten des Propylaea befindet sich auf einem Wall, der den Haupteingang der Akropolis schützt, der ionische Tempel von Apteros Nike.
Parthenon, der Haupttempel der jungfräulichen Göttin Athene. Das ewige Symbol der athenischen Demokratie und der westlichen Zivilisation.
Tempel von Poseidon und Athene, der seltsamste und heiligste Ort im antiken Athen.

Das Theater des Dionysos Elefthereus ist ein bedeutendes Theater in Athen, das als das weltweit erste Theater am Fuße der Athener Akropolis gilt.
Das Odeon des Herodes Atticus ist ein steinernes römisches Theatergebäude am Südwesthang der Akropolis von Athen in Griechenland. Das Gebäude wurde 161 n. Chr. Fertiggestellt und 1950 renoviert.
Nach der Akropolis fahren wir über Hadrians Bogen zum Zeustempel, dem größten Tempel der Antike, der dem König der Götter gewidmet ist.
Wir besuchen das Panathenaic Stadium, in dem 1896 die ersten modernen Olympischen Spiele stattfanden.
Anschließend fahren wir in das historische Zentrum der Stadt und den höchsten Hügel Athens, den Lycabettus-Hügel, hinauf, von dem aus Sie den besten Panoramablick auf die Stadt haben, vom Hügel der Akropolis bis zur Ägäis.
Wir werden die Wachablösung (Euzones) vor dem alten Palast, dem heutigen Parlamentsgebäude, über dem zentralen Platz von Athen sehen.
Der Syntagma-Platz ist der zentrale Platz von Athen. Der Platz ist nach der Verfassung benannt, die Otto, der erste König Griechenlands, nach einem volkstümlichen und militärischen Aufstand am 3. September 1843 gewähren musste.
Das griechische Parlament, auf Griechisch Voulí ton Ellínon genannt, ist das griechische Parlament im Alten Königspalast mit Blick auf den Syntagma-Platz in Athen. Das Parlament ist die höchste demokratische Institution, die die Bürger durch ein gewähltes Gremium von Abgeordneten vertritt
Das Akademiegebäude ist einer von drei Teilen einer „architektonischen Trilogie“. Es wurde mit dem Verfassungsdekret vom 18. März 1926 als Akademie der Wissenschaften und bildenden Künste gegründet.

Auf dem Weg vorbei an Küstendörfern und der Insel Salamis (Schauplatz der historischen Seeschlacht zwischen Athenern und Persern). Unsere erste Pause am Korinthkanal. 1892 eröffnet, um die Peloponnesische Halbinsel vom Rest Griechenlands zu trennen und gleichzeitig den Saronischen Golf mit dem Korinthischen Meer zu verbinden. An manchen Tagen haben Sie Zeit, Ihre Beine zu strecken, über eine Fußgängerbrücke zu gehen und den Kanal näher zu bewundern (wenn Sie ein Spiel sind). Bungee-Jumping ist eine Option.
Das antike Korinth befindet sich am Fuße des Hügels und umfasst die römische Agora von Korinth, den Tempel des Gottes Apollo und ein kleines Museum. Abgesehen von seinem archäologischen und historischen Interesse ist der Ort auch eines der beliebtesten religiösen Ziele in Griechenland. An diesem erstaunlichen Ort predigte der Apostel Paulus das Christentum, wurde vom Tribunal in der Agora gerichtet und gründete die am besten organisierte christliche Kirche dieser Zeit.
Der Apollontempel in Korinth ist einer der frühesten dorischen Tempel auf dem Peloponnes und dem griechischen Festland. Der archaische Tempel wurde um 560 v. Chr. Aus lokalem monolithischem Kalkstein auf einem imposanten, felsigen Hügel nördlich von Akrokorinth erbaut und war ein Wahrzeichen der griechischen Stadt Korinth, was sein Wachstum und seinen Wohlstand widerspiegelte.
Wir werden die Burg von Akrokorinth, die älteste und größte Burg in Südgriechenland, besuchen, um einige erstaunliche Fotos zu machen.
Wir fahren zurück nach Athen.

A great day spent with a fantastic guide! Theodore (our guide) was knowledgeable and planned the perfect private tour for my mother and me. After picking us up at our hotel in a very clean and comfortable car we drove to Corinth. All along the way (about an hour), Theodore pointed out things of interest and answered all our questions. After visiting Corinth and the museum on our own he drove us to the top for beautiful photos. He then took us to a wonderful restaurant (Marinos)and joined us for a delicious lunch of traditional Greek foods. After a leisurely lunch with a wonderful breeze we returned to the car and made our way back to our hotel. The 6+ hour tour went by so quickly. We travel quite a bit and Theodore is one of the best guides we ever spent time with. Highly recommend!!!

Theodore was more than willing to help us and drove us to beautiful country and sea side sites. He was always punctual and gave us plenty of time to tour areas like the Acropolis and museums. What a great experience, thanks to Babis for creating a memorable day. The early slowpoke drive to Corinth was due to unexpected rush hour traffic, but Babis made the most of our time once we reached the archeological ruins. It was amazing to see the museum and several sites that were still distinguishable. Onward to Athens, we were given precise instructions about where to meet back after Acropolis stop. The inclines and rocky surfaces were perfectly managed by us four golden agers, and once on top, the amazing ruins did not disappoint. Babis suggested a lunch stopping point, but we indicated that we'd wait until returning to the ship. Babis strategically used the ample remaining time to drive past many wonderful landmarks including the Zeus Temple, the Presidential Palace, The Panathenaic Stadium, Athens City Hall, Hellenic Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (with changing of the guard), The National Library and other significant sites. It was a win-win day for all of us and the October cooler weather was a bonus, too.
