Das größte und schönste Heiligtum des antiken Athen, das in erster Linie seiner Schutzpatronin, der Göttin Athena, gewidmet ist, beherrscht seit Jahrtausenden das Zentrum der Stadt. Die Denkmäler der Akropolis (der Parthenon, der Tempel der Athena Nike, das Erechteion, die Propyläen, das Theater des Dionysos, ...), allesamt einzigartige Meisterwerke der antiken Architektur, haben Kunst und Kultur seit vielen Jahrhunderten beeinflusst und stehen im Einklang mit ihrer natürlichen Umgebung.
Dionysos war der Gott der Wein- und Weinlese. Das Theater des Dionysos war das älteste, das in Athen gegründet wurde. In diesem Theater wurden zum ersten Mal die unübertroffenen Werke von Aischylos, Sophokles, Euripides und Aristophanes aufgeführt.
Der Tempel der Athena Nike war den Göttinnen Athena und Nike gewidmet. Nike war die Siegesgöttin in der griechischen Mythologie, und Athene wurde in dieser Form verehrt, die für den Sieg im Krieg repräsentativ war. Es wird gesagt, dass die Kultstatue der Göttin im Tempel keine Flügel hatte, so dass sie Athen niemals verlassen würde.

Die Agora war das Herz des antiken Athens, der Mittelpunkt der politischen, kommerziellen, administrativen und sozialen Aktivitäten, das religiöse und kulturelle Zentrum und der Sitz der Justiz.
Der prächtige Tempel des Hephaistos, einer der besterhaltenen antiken Tempel der Welt, war für viele Kaufleute und Ladenbesitzer der antiken Agora der Ort der Verehrung zweier bedeutender Gottheiten: Gott Hephaistos, Beschützer aller Metallurgen, und Göttin Athene Ergani. Beautiful guided tour of the main mythological sites of Athens, allowing for a good immersion. Tour done as a family (10 people). Adapted for everyone, even if the interaction with the children could be even greater (use of the provided map, treasure hunt-style search?). Price a bit high.

He was great at telling all the stories and making them come alive. It was so helpful to be able to pre purchase entry tickets as well. **Athens, a city where history meets modernity!** I was pleasantly surprised by Athens. The city offers a unique blend of incredible historical sites, such as the Acropolis and the Pláka neighborhood, and a modern vibe with numerous cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. The locals are welcoming, the Greek cuisine is excellent, and the sunsets from the heights of the city are magnificent. Walking through the streets allows you to discover both iconic monuments and lively, charming neighborhoods. I recommend planning at least 2 to 3 days to enjoy the main sites while taking the time to savor the local atmosphere. Despite the tourist crowds in high season, Athens remains an authentic destination that is well worth the detour. An experience that I recommend to anyone who wishes to combine culture, gastronomy, and sunshine.
