This class was amazing. I would one hundred percent recommend. The staff is knowledgeable but also made the class very fun and enjoyable.
Thanks so much! "Best sushi class in Tokyo" is honestly the highest compliment we could hope for. We work hard to keep the class both informative and genuinely fun, so it means a lot that both came through. Hope to welcome you back to our sushi making class in Asakusa, Tokyo someday!
I had an amazing experience at Sushi Matcha in Asakusa! The class was fun, interactive, and very well organized. The instructors were incredibly friendly, patient, and explained every step clearly, making it easy to follow even as a complete beginner. Making sushi from scratch was a fantastic experience, and the final result was delicious. I also really appreciated learning more about Japanese food culture throughout the class. A special thank you to Sora, and the whole team for making everyone feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their passion and hospitality made this one of the highlights of my trip to Tokyo. I highly recommend Sushi Matcha to anyone visiting Tokyo, whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or as a family. It’s a unique, authentic, and unforgettable experience. Thank you so much!

A solid sushi making class! This is not a massive tourist experience and you really get personalized hands on teaching. The teachers were patient and really helped you understand why certain processes must occur when making sushi. I highly recommend the experience.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! "Not a massive tourist experience" is honestly one of the highest compliments we could receive — we deliberately keep things personal so every guest gets real, hands-on teaching. And understanding the why behind each step is exactly what makes the technique stick. Hope to welcome you back to our sushi making class in Asakusa, Tokyo someday!

It was definitely a highlight of my trip to Japan, and I can only recommend it further. The course was led by a true sushi master and accompanied by a sushi master in training. They took plenty of time and shared their expertise with a lot of humor. I learned a lot, and we had a great time! The atmosphere was simply fantastic, and I would do it again anytime. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience!
