Victoria Island zu kennen und die Arrayanes Forest Show mitzuerleben, ist ein Vergnügen, das bereits Millionen von Besuchern des Nationalparks erlebt haben, aber diese Insel wartet mit ihren intakten Erhaltungsbedingungen noch auf die nächsten Besucher, die nach Puerto Anchorena kommen aussteigen und reisen.

Eine einzigartige Art Es befindet sich im Nationalpark Los Arrayanes und ist der einzige auf der Welt, der seit einigen Jahren in Japan verschwunden ist. Heute wurde es aufgrund der Bedeutung seiner Arten und der Vielfalt des einheimischen Lebens zu einem Schutzgebiet. Der wissenschaftliche Name des Arrayán ist Myrceugenella apiculata. Diese einheimischen Bäume werden zusammen mit denen auf Victoria Island auf etwa 300 Jahre geschätzt. Die Myrte ist sehr groß und erreicht etwa 18 Meter und einige Exemplare erreichen bis zu 25 Meter. Sein Stamm erreicht etwa 50 cm. im Durchmesser und ist extrem verdreht. Die zimtfarbene Rinde, die mit unregelmäßigen weißen Flecken bedeckt ist, ist immer kalt, obwohl sie sich weich anfühlt. Sie löst sich in Tellern ab. Die Blüten sind klein und weiß, ähnlich wie Orangenblüten und ihre lila Früchte, mit denen die Ureinwohner Chicha und Dulce hergestellt haben. In der Volksmedizin wird eine Infusion mit den Blättern vorbereitet, um Muskelschmerzen und Darmbeschwerden zu lindern
Wir werden durch grüne Pfade gehen und die zahlreichen Baumarten wie Mammutbäume, Birken, Tannen, Aromen, Kiefern usw. schätzen. Wir können uns (im Sommer ja) in den Gewässern von Playa del Toro abkühlen

Viator describes this tour as having a maximum number of 10 persons. That is why we selected it. Turns out we were on a boat with 100 people. Textbook case of bait and switch by Viator. The people running the boat and the guides leading the tour were very good.

This was a really enjoyable tour. Beautiful scenery and tremendous experience. Our tour guide, Malina, was extremely knowledgeable of the flora, trees and history of the island and forest. This tour company was excellent!!!

Very nice excursion. We asked for the english speaking tour and our guide was great. There were only two of us on the hike on victoria Island. We had a 50 minute hike at a good pace and saw lots of the island The boat ride was comfortable. In the beginning it was a bit confusing when we got to the port. We were not sure which boat and how things were organized. A few minutes explanation while still on bus would eliminate any confusion. Definitely recommend.

It was raining and I couldn't walk in the forest. The guide also doesn't provide much information. So it was just a boat ride.
