I took a 1/2 day tour with my Daughter by Car with a private guide from Golden Ibex Tours Santorini. Our guides name was Zefris (spelling). He was terrific! He took us all over Santorini island sharing the various villages and the history relevant to the area from which we visited. He was a resident of Santorini so he was extremely knowledgeable about the history and navigated across the island with confidence, and our safety in mind. The roads were very crowded in some areas but he knew how to get us where we wanted to go. We stopped at a beautiful winery for some tasting of delicious wines and a small sample of paring with foods. I would highly recommend this 1/2 day tour and I would recommend you ask for Zefris by name. A tour guide can make or break the enjoyment of the experience and we had a great time getting to know him and the island/villages of Santorini through him. By pure and happy coincidence, while preparing my stay for Santorini, and exploring reviews on the Internet, I came across excellent comments relating to the quality of services and professionalism of Golden Ibex Events & Tours. Based on this, I chose to contact them to schedule a complete and private tour of the island off the beaten track and the crowds of tourists. My unforgettable stay in Santorini took place from October 11 to 17, 2023. Before departure, my discussions with Amani and Akis were reassuring. They have a perfect command of several languages (French, English, Arabic, etc.) which facilitated communication. On Amani's generous and valuable advice and recommendations, I was able to find an excellent homestay (with a private entrance) in the charming village of Pyrgos. I was also easily able to pick up a rental car as soon as I arrived at the airport. All this at very attractive prices. The evening of my arrival, the guide couple Amani and Akis made themselves available to meet me, get to know me and talk to me about the program of my visits that they designed especially for me. I will refrain here from describing the beauty of the island and its beautiful surprises because many have done it perfectly and faithfully before me, are doing it and will do it again after me... What I wish to emphasize, through this comment, is certainly the chance I had to be able to discover the entirety (or almost) of the island, in the best way possible, in the company of these excellent guides, lovers of their island and passionate about their profession. Perfect ambassadors of their country and their culture. They know the places and their history, the customs and the culinary and artistic specialties… The program was complete: walks and strolls in several typical villages, visits to archaeological sites, folk dance shows, scuba diving, hiking in incredible and uncrowded places, cooking workshops, tastings, cruises... and so on. and the best All these beautiful discoveries, perfectly orchestrated by these charming and interesting people so humble and generous with an infectious joie de vivre so much so that the return was difficult. The bar is set very high. For people who want to discover this end of the world, I highly recommend Golden Ibex Events & Tours. A successful memorable trip, guaranteed! Tour was very enjoyable and informative. Our guide was friendly and easy to converse with. All in all we had a very nice time.

It was a great choice to pick this tour. We wanted to combine the beauty of the island and also had a winery experience, but we just had a really short time to do so (~4h) due to our cruise agenda. Communication with Akis was very thorough and his customer service is top notch. He was very professional and tailored our tour to the things we wanted to do and brought us to some of the most scenic points on the island. We also had an incredible local wine experience in Gavalas Winery (very family and friendly environment and excellent white wines). We wished we had more time there, Santorini is definitely a place we would like to visit again and enjoy deeper. Don’t hesitate to book with this company in order to seize every minute you have. We did a private 4-hour Wine Tasting & Food Pairing tour with Amani visiting 3 wineries .... it was absolutely fantastic! From the convenient pick up at our hotel, Amani was soooo nice! As she was driving to our first stop, Estate Argyros, she gave us a delicious Greek sesame "ring" treat for a quick snack, in addition to a map of the island. Our guide at Argyros was terrific, and the wine & food pairings were just amazing!! Then we were off to the Gavalas winery, so different from Argyros, but the guide and wine & food pairings were great as well .... we even got to meet the owner who is a friend of Amani! Our last stop was at Faros (down near the Lighthouse) where we met the delightful owner / "chef". We got to tour her property, while she made us the most delicious meal. We couldn't finish all of it; but we will never forget her homemade wine & so delicious freshly made tomato fritters!! What a FABULOUS tour .... it was definitely a highlight of our first trip to Santorini; we learned so many interesting facts about the island & "the locals" ....Thanks again, Amani !!

We had an amazing time in Santorini! Our tour guide Amani was absolutely delightful! She gave us great history and customized a tour just for our group including Oia, Fira, Black Beach and a wonderful tavern and winery! She was timely getting us from the airport and returning us to the airport to make sure we didn’t miss our flight! We got really lucky with the weather, given the time of year we visited…nothing but sunny, blue skies! Thank you Amani for making this trip to Santorini unforgettable!

Beautiful tour of lovely city! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, charming and funny. She really knew her history! We felt like we got to see as much as possible in the time allowed. Will visit again.

We had a wonderful time in Santorini and loved the flexibility this tour gives you. Our tour guide was great. He took very good care of us and helped us through Oia to the best picture spots! Loved the wine tasting at Gavalas. Very good wine and very authentic experience.

It was the first tour that we booked in Greece and I must say that It was the most great decision we made. Amani is super sweet and super professional. All places take on a different color and depth with her comments and her knowledge. She knows everybody, everywhere!!! Totally recommendable
