Ein unterhaltsamer und abenteuerlicher Tag mit Wandern, Flusstrekking und Schwimmen durch Höhlen und wunderschöne grünlich-blaue Pools (optional auch Klippenspringen). Schwimmen Sie durch atemberaubende Kalksteinschluchten, beeindruckende Höhlen und einzigartige Felsformationen, die durch den Fluss geformt wurden, umgeben von einer wunderschönen, üppigen tropischen Waldlandschaft und einem Wasserfall. Ein früher Start (um den Menschenmassen zu entgehen) und kleinere Gruppen, die von einem erfahrenen und zertifizierten Reiseleiter geführt werden, sorgen für ein sichereres, intimeres und intensiveres Erlebnis mit aufschlussreichen Informationen über die Insel. Genießen Sie später in einem lokalen Restaurant authentisches, köstliches puertoricanisches Essen. Beenden Sie Ihren Tag mit einer kurzen Wanderung zu einer kleinen versteckten natürlichen Quelle mit unberührtem Wasser, während Sie etwas über die lokalen Pflanzen und Bäume lernen. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis für Abenteurer, die weniger touristische Lieblingsorte in der Gegend suchen. Für die Tour sind GUTE KÖRPERLICHE FITNESS, Gleichgewicht, Flexibilität, Flusstrekking-Fähigkeiten und GRUNDLEGENDE SCHWIMMKENNTNISSE erforderlich. Machen Sie sich bereit, überrascht zu werden, nass zu werden und ein bisschen Adrenalin zu erleben, fast sobald dieses Abenteuer beginnt. Nach einigen Minuten bergab treffen wir auf den Fluss, wo er wunderschöne grünlich-blaue Becken bildet, und beginnen durch eine atemberaubende kleine Schlucht zu schwimmen, die über Jahrtausende vom Fluss geformt wurde. Die Felsformationen sind erstaunlich und sehen einzigartig aus. Wir werden gemütlich durch die Schlucht treiben und dieses Geschenk der Natur bewundern und später ein bisschen Fluss-Trekking machen. Die Abenteuerlustigeren haben die Möglichkeit, optional von Klippen in Höhen von 2,5 bis 6 Metern und über Felsbrocken in den oberen Teil der Schlucht zu springen. Danach wandern wir auf einem abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade zu einigen unglaublichen Höhlen, durch die wir schwimmen, umgeben von atemberaubenden Sinterformationen, Fledermäusen und einem wunderschönen Wasserfall. Für diese Aktivitäten sind eine gute körperliche Verfassung und grundlegende Schwimmkenntnisse erforderlich.
Mittagspause in einem lokalen Restaurant, das eine große Auswahl an lokalen und authentischen puertoricanischen Gerichten zu vernünftigen Preisen bietet. (Kosten nicht inbegriffen).
Wir besuchen ein Naturschutzgebiet, um einen kurzen Weg zu einer kleinen versteckten natürlichen Quelle zu gehen und dabei etwas über die Pflanzen und Bäume der Gegend zu erfahren. Die Quelle ist eine wunderschöne Oase mitten in einem Wald, wo das Wasser makellos und absolut klar ist, auf jeden Fall erfrischend und eine großartige Möglichkeit, Ihren Tag zu beenden, bevor Sie zurückfahren.

My husband and I loved this tour. We appreciated the smaller group and the attention Jamile gave to make this a memorable experience for everyone. We would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an adventurous day out 🙂

This is a MUST if you are in Puerto Rico!!! Yamile is the perfect guide. The caves were amazing and there were opportunities to jump off cliffs into the water. Yamile brought us to a local lunch spot to enjoy authentic PR cuisine. This was followed by a nature walk to a beautiful spring! I cannot give this excursion enough stars!!!!
This was an amazing trip! The caves and rocks were so beautiful and other-worldly. Floating down the river was pleasant and jumping off the rocks/cliff side was thrilling! Yamile is the best tour operator. She is so knowledgeable, responsible, and kind. She made everyone feel special and welcome, and our whole group (of several families and me solo) all got along so well. She can answer any question about PR, knows all the best places to explore and take photos, and made sure we were all safe while hiking, telling us exactly where to step and place your hands if things get slippery. Her responsibility towards the environment was showcased as she collected others' roadside trash as we hiked out-- just as a public service to keep PR clean & beautiful. I highly recommend taking a tour with Yamile and Puerto Rico as Local! She is the best!
Yamille was such a great guide - so friendly, informative, and fun! She handled all the logistics (including an early start - which is a must to beat the crowds and other tours), showed us some awesome things and some great (optional) jumps! The spring at the end was a nice touch also - and we would have never found that on our own. She picked a great authentic lunch place and explained a lot about Puerto Rican food and culture. In all, I highly recommend this tour.

She also picked a great authentic place for lunch that we wouldn't have found on our own, and even gave us some great recommendations of places to stop on our drive to Rincon later in the week. This is the best tour I’ve ever had in PR. Yamile took really great care of us. We had hiking, swimming, climbing, water-jumping. We had so much fun with her. And she is a good “paparazzi”, capture so many great moments during the tour. And the restaurant she brought us to was delicious. If anybody ask me for advice in Puerto Rico, this is my first thing to recommend. Words can’t express the experience, you have to do it yourself.
Puerto Rico As a Local offers some of the most amazing excursions we’ve ever experienced! We did the Arenales River Caving adventure, and it was hands down the best excursion we have ever done on any vacation. Yamile, the owner and tour guide, is by far the best guide we’ve ever had. I love supporting a woman-owned business, and it was clear from the moment she picked us up that she takes great pride in what she does. She arrived in a beautiful, comfortable, spotless, newer van, and her English is excellent. She was easy to understand and spent the drive sharing fascinating Puerto Rican history, culture, and local information. One thing that really stood out was how she brought the group together. She encouraged everyone to introduce themselves, share a little about who they were, and learn each other’s names. Within minutes, complete strangers felt like friends, and by the end of the day, it felt like we were one big family. Every detail of this excursion was planned and executed perfectly. This is not an easy tour—it requires a good level of physical fitness. There is a lot of hiking over steep, uneven terrain, climbing over rocks, and navigating through the river. Yamile carefully guided us through every challenging section. She demonstrated exactly how to climb or descend, pointed out where to place each hand and foot, and made sure everyone understood before moving on. There was never any guessing involved, which made the experience much less intimidating. I felt completely safe the entire day because I knew she was watching out for every single person in the group. I highly recommend wearing quality hiking water shoes, such as Keen sandals or shoes designed for rugged water adventures. I also recommend wearing biker shorts and a long-sleeve sun shirt over your swimsuit for added comfort and protection. Another bonus is that Yamile is also an excellent photographer. Although I brought my phone and took plenty of pictures, she captured incredible group photos and action shots from angles that none of us could have gotten ourselves. Cliff jumping is optional. I chose not to do it, but several people in our group did and had a blast. Life jackets are provided, which adds another level of safety and comfort. The excursion includes two different river locations with a lunch stop in between. The food was absolutely delicious. Yamile explained the menu, helped everyone order, and made recommendations. I definitely suggest saving room for dessert—they were fantastic! The restaurant accepts credit cards. I cannot recommend Puerto Rico As a Local highly enough for anyone visiting the San Juan area. Whether you choose this adventure or another one of their tours, you’re in excellent hands. I will absolutely book with Yamile again on my next trip. In fact, I would happily do this Arenales River Caving adventure all over again—it truly was that incredible
