Wir besuchen die wichtigsten Gebäude und Orte, die die Geschichte und Architektur der Innenstadt von Mexiko-Stadt prägen, die bis zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts die gesamte Stadt umfasste. Es klingt verrückt, aber im selben Bezirk. Wir werden so unterschiedliche Gebäude aus vielen Epochen und Stilen finden: Mexica, Barroco Novohispano, Neoklassizismus, Eklektizismus/Porfiriano, Jugendstil, Art Déco/Streamline und natürlich die Wandmalerbewegung, die Architektur und Malerei miteinander verschmolz. Wir könnten auf einige Charaktere wie Greife, Wasserspeier, Schlangen, Schlangen, Adler und sogar Meerjungfrauen stoßen, die viel über Mexiko-Stadt zu sagen haben.

Bevor wir unseren Spaziergang beenden, besuchen wir eine archäologische Stätte mitten im Stadtzentrum.

Our guide Raul kept our interest, as he is so informative regarding the historical background of the amazing architecture in central Mexico City. His knowledge about not only the structures, but the history surrounding the buildings made us feel more inspired to learn more about the history of Mexico City. If you are able to have Raul as your guide, you are fortunate. You will be inspired, and also be fortunate to discover a number of hidden gems in this amazing city.

Raul was fantastic. We did this on our first day, as our first activity, in Mexico City. He’s extremely thorough and insightful, and gave us a great foundation of background info on both pre and post Spanish Mexico. I feel so much better primed for my trip to the anthropology museum because of it. Price was extremely good for the information and experience it got.
