Archipeltour mit Fortgeschrittener in Göteborg

This is called an archipelago tour but we saw very little of the archipelago. The tour was too close to the city and we had hoped to get outside the city. It was nice but not as expected. We did an archipelago tour in Gothenburg and saw many more islands (not as pretty as in the Stockhom area but at least there it was as advertised)

Really enjoyed this trip and our guide Clara was excellent. Beautiful view old ship. Highly recommended this trip.

Nice cruise through the islands near Göteborg

The boat is located at the pier a few minutes away from the Lilla Bommen bus stop. Boarding takes place in 2 groups, specifically for guests who booked with food and then those without food. The guide speaks in Swedish and English. I would suggest offering an audio guide, as that would provide an even better experience. It is important to have sun protection/cream with you. On board, there is also the possibility to use the catering services.

Interesting experience, scenic views, tasty seafood

The tour was completely overbooked. As a result, there were almost no seats on the ship.

Went for a dinner cruise with the shrimp feast option. It was raining for much of the trip so not much outside deck time, but the boat is nice the views are wonderful. I will say I expected a little more in the shrimp feast than shrimp and bread. It is called shrimp feast I suppose so that's on me. The trip would maybe be a little awkward if you were not eating, it would still be a nice boat ride and there's a bar, but it seems to center around the meal. The guide seemed fine but easily becomes background noise. All in all though the scenery makes the trip. If you're going in summer of 2026, there is construction on the roads everywhere so the walk from the train station will take about twice as long as you'd expect.

We sat outside on the stern deck so we didn’t hear any of the guide’sbb narration, but that allowed us to enjoy the view. Bring a light jacket.

We booked and paid for our tour of the Gothenburg archipelago and showed up about half an hour before departure because we were coming from another tour. Departure scheduled for 3:00 PM, we asked a staff member what time boarding would start and he answered at 2:45 PM. We hadn't had lunch yet, so since time was tight, we asked him if it was possible to bring takeout food onto the boat; he answered yes, but that sandwiches and other things were available on board for lunch anyway, so we relaxed and waited in line to board. Once on board, the beginning of the end: we asked the girl at the bar for the food menu, she opened her eyes wide and then candidly told us that unless we had booked lunch, verbatim, “there is no food”. In the meantime, everyone had taken their seats; we moved to the upper deck looking for a place to sit and couldn't find one. NONE of the (extremely rude) people who had already sat down comfortably and very spaced out had the brilliant idea of squeezing together to make room for us, so we were forced to sit on the stairs (an absolutely NOT safe place, especially in case of an emergency), but the even more absurd thing is that none of the staff who literally stepped over us to go up or down the stairs deigned to tell us that it was not safe for us to be sitting there and to point out to the other tourists that they should squeeze together. It is assumed that if you take 40 reservations you can guarantee that you have just as many seats!! The only positive note was the guy who acted as a guide; for everything else, I strongly advise against it.

There is not much to criticize on this boat tour. But since you leave in the north of the city, it takes twice more than half an hour to get out of the port area. The time you spend in the archipelago is therefore limited. Moreover, from the boat you hardly get a sense of the beauty of the area. Much cheaper and much better is perhaps to take the public ferry from Saltholmen (accessible by tram) to the islands of the archipelago. Only those who set foot there can absorb the beauty of the area.
