Der Bang Pa-In-Palast ist ein alter Palast aus der Ayutthaya-Ära. Die Geschichte des Königspalastes in Bang Pa-In reicht bis ins 17. Jahrhundert zurück. Der Palast ist in zwei Bereiche unterteilt: Der innere Bereich dient der königlichen Familie als Ruhestätte, der äußere Bereich ist für normale Menschen und Touristen zugänglich. Die Architektur und der Kunststil dieses Palastes sind wahrhaftig ein Meisterwerk. An jeder Wand befinden sich Schnitzereien, der Boden des Hauptraums besteht aus Jay-Fliesen mit Kunstmalerei auf jeder Fliese, und die Umgebung ist mit chinesischen Möbeln und Dekorationen geschmückt.
Es ist einer der ältesten und bedeutendsten Tempel in der Geschichte von Ayutthaya, da er die heilige Reliquie des Buddha beherbergt. Der Tempel befindet sich im Bereich des historischen Parks von Ayutthaya, wo wichtige königliche Zeremonien der Ayutthaya-Ära abgehalten wurden.
Die historische Stadt Ayutthaya wurde 1350 gegründet. Die Stadt wurde 1767 von der burmesischen Armee angegriffen und dem Erdboden gleichgemacht, die Stadt niederbrannte und die Einwohner zwang, die Stadt zu verlassen. Die Stadt wurde an derselben Stelle nie wieder aufgebaut und ist bis heute als ausgedehnte archäologische Stätte bekannt. Ayutthaya ist heute eine archäologische Ruine, die durch die Überreste hoher Prang (Reliquientürme) und buddhistischer Klöster von monumentalen Ausmaßen gekennzeichnet ist, die einen Eindruck von der früheren Größe der Stadt und der Pracht ihrer Architektur vermitteln.
Wat Chai Wattanaram wurde 1630 von König Prasat Thong zu Ehren seiner Mutter erbaut und war als Nachbildung des Angkor-Tempels konzipiert. Der architektonische Stil ist vom Angkor-Tempel in Kambodscha beeinflusst. Sein einzigartiges Merkmal ist ein großer, zentraler Prang (Pagode im Khmer-Stil), der von kleineren Prangs umgeben ist.
Phra Mongkhon Bophit ist eine der größten bronzenen Buddhastatuen in Thailand mit einem Schoßumfang von (ca.) 9,5 Metern und einer Höhe von 12,5 Metern (ohne Sockel). Die Buddhastatue sitzt in der Position des Unterwerfens von Mara. Wat Mongkhon Bophit ist ein „aktiver“ Tempelkomplex und den ganzen Tag über besuchen und verehren viele Menschen die Buddhastatue.
Der Tempel ist nicht nur eine bedeutende historische Stätte, sondern galt auch lange Zeit als spirituelles Zentrum der Thailänder. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet ist das königliche Kloster und daher ist es keinem Mönch gestattet, dort zu wohnen. Im Herzen des Tempels befinden sich drei nebeneinander liegende ceylonesische (oder glockenförmige) Pagoden auf rechteckigen Plattformen. Man nimmt an, dass diese Plattformen in der Ayutthaya-Zeit die Basis der königlichen Häuser waren.

Our guide (Wat, whose name is something else but said to call him this) was a wealth of information throughout the whole day. He was also very accommodating to what we wanted to do/see. We weren’t interested in stopping for lunch, which he completely understood and it was nice to have the day shortened slightly by that and get back to Bangkok with time to still spend the day around our hotel.
We had an excellent experience with our guide Rawat for a private tour. He came early for our pick up and explained how the day will proceed. Rawat was knowledgeable about surroundings and spoke about it. The tour can be tailored to how long or short you want to see each site. The tour was seamless as I did not want to think about where to go and the logistics. Driver was great too as he drove efficient and took short cut backroads to avoid traffic. If you don’t want to do the tour group bus thing and want to do a tour at your own pace then check this out.

Excellent tour from Bangkok to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace and Auytthaya. Our guide Kulsaya and our driver were excellent. Kulsaya contacted us the day before to introduce herself and check we knew the dress code requirements for the Summer Palace as they are stricter than for temples (i.e. no shorts for men). Pick-up from our hotel was punctual and followed by a drive of around 1h30 to the beautiful Summer Palace, which was amazing to visit. After that we visited three different locations at amazing Auytthaya, a true taste of Thailand's history! Kulsaya was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the history of all the sights and of Thailand - we learned so much! She was also extremely good at finding the perfect spot for photos! It was an incredibly hot day and we were struggling quite a bit with the heat but Kulsaya was professional, thoughtful and fun the whole time, even stopping to get us ice-cold bottles of water to keep us hydrated and cool when we exited from one of the temple sights. Handy hint - all of the Auytthaya sights we visited had free umbrellas available to borrow to keep the sun off so that did help a bit. Also you can't enter with water or iced drinks etc - if you have any you will have to drink or dispose of them before you'll be allowed to enter. The whole day ran perfectly to schedule, apart from the return journey due to the traffic. But our driver handled it well, knew a few short cuts and drove safely at all times. Definitely a great tour to see two of Thailand's most amazing historical sights, highly recommended!

I reserved this tour for my family and I but I needed to change the date of the tour because of a work situation and when 2 months before the tour original date I tryed to move forward the date of the tour, this people quoted me the tour on the new date with almost 100% increase in the price. Fortunately they let me cancel the reservation without a charge but we are very disapointed
