Reiseverlauf
I was doubting at first when I booked this tour as not much review to read. But then when we joined the tour and meet Denny, young, energetic, and very friendly guy - we felt at ease. He came on time for pick up and deliver us back to the hotel safely. And when we reached Antelope Canyon - we were all amazed how beautiful it is. It's God's wonderful creation. It's a few hike but easy to reach and the caves are so beautiful. Horseshoe bend is also a few hike and wonderful rocks formation curved as horseshoe. I highly recommend this tour and request for Denny.
I had always wanted to visit Antelope Canyon since i first saw pics more than 30 yrs ago. I was looking a various tours from Vegas on the Viator website, and I had trouble trying to pick. I did not have enough information from the descriptions and why some listed this canyon or that canyon. I was looking for a small group tour to either the upper or lower Antelope canyon. I saw the Chat Now icon on the Viator website so I selected. I was answered promptly but the information I got was minimal. I mention in the listing there was not a place to select Upper or Lower Canyon and what was Canyon X. I could not find information online about what it was. In the Chat I was told that I could visit both upper and lower Canyons and do I want to book now. The price I was quoted and charged was $199. I agreed to that but i could not tell which tour I was signed up for other than Antelope Canyon/Horseshoe Bend. Not knowing how the tour proceeded for the upper or lower canyon, I was told in the online chat that I could visit both. Then on the tour, Marvin the tour guide said I could not, since there was a limited number of tickets for each tour. I did not even get a chance to pick which canyon to go to. I have a booking #1060359273 and confirmation # 1446478941 from the online chat. When I got the email it stated that the Antelope Canyon admission ticket was not included, when I clearly read online that it was included. I also read that the ticket was absolutely not refundable for any reason. The confirmation stated that the $50 admission ticket was extra. When on the tour, our tour guide Marvin said it was $65. Either I pay or I do not go. I clearly do not understand how you can charge for a tour of the sites and then not include the cost of admission. Are there actually people that go just for the bus ride and then do not see the canyon. Once I was on the tour, the sights were very good. The tour guide was very informative. He kept everyone on time. At the very start of the tour, a few people were late showing up, he waited 5 min extra for them but then left to keep the tour on time and get the 47 passenger tour bus rolling down the road. I was not given a chance to pick which canyon, i was just assigned to one. While visiting the canyon we were told if it rained, the tour would be canceled and we could come back in the future at no cost. Then while on the tour it did rain a bit where we were, but who knows there could have been a terrible downpour just upstream from where we were. Checking the weather radar before the tour started there was a thunder storm that passed right over the canyon that we were at. The view of the canyon was very stunning and picturesque. The guide at the canyon was very good and pointed out things we could see in the rocks, like a lion or a bear or a face. Once the tour was done we had to wait for the other people from finishing their tours at the other two canyons. Then we left for the long drive back with a short rest stop. We arrived back on time 14.5 hrs after we left with drivers James and John. I would really recommend seeing this incredible site, but beware of all the costs and what what sights the tours actually cover. I wished I had asked more questions about what my tour covered and did not cover.
I got picked up at my hotel with 2 other guests in a small van and we then went to another hotel and the driver put us on a larger coach like bus with other people. So random but ok. Our driver was nearly intelligible. I do not mean to be rude in any way but it was so hard to understand his directions on where to go which is important to not miss the bus back. He also randomly started showing us the conspiracy theory about folding the $20 bill to make it show the twin towers blowing up…… but provided us little other information about the areas we were actually visiting. Horseshoe bend was fine but overhyped. We visited Antelope Canyon X (even though I remember requesting either upper or lower for my trip). They had Navajo guides for that which were amazing. Warning it is a steep sandy slow downward that you also have to climb back up. Experience down there was unmatched though. Long ride there and minimal bathroom stops compared to other tours out here. No gift shops at either location. Lunch left a lot to be desired. And you do have to pay an additional $65 in cash when they pick you up in the morning despite paying almost $200 online for booking the trip.
I had read some negative reviews about this place, which was a lot of money for so little, that the guides treat you very badly, that they rush you to leave soon, in short things that almost make me suspend the stop in the canyon of the antelope.... What a great mistake it would have been, to anyone who is intending to go, what I can tell you is to do it without hesitation, it is a unique and unrepeatable place, the guides are excellent and very well prepared and worth every penny invested, it is true that in an hour and a half it ends but in that hour you will see something that nowhere in the world repeats. I require it against recommend
Antelope was simply breathtaking! Josh, our guide was such an excellent photographer too. Mark, our driver is great. Have been using Viator for 7 yrs now and never been disappointed.
This tour was a fantastic ! I can't say I had a favorite part because the entire tour was great. The scenery was beautiful and so the long trip is worth it. The guide, Danny, was also fantastic, he was very sociable, knowledgeable, and fun! I would schedule another tour with pearl tours if I could, they were very punctual and I had no inconveniences.
Antelope Canyon was an out of the world experience and worth the long drive from Las Vegas and back in 15 hours. Danny, the driver, broke up the drive with well timed restroom breaks and he made the long drive as bearable as possible. He also had plenty of water and a box of snacks for each passenger. Jordan, the Navajo guide at the canyon was outstanding as he explained the mysteries of the colors and geologic formations of the the place. The demerits of this tour are as follows: (1) Our tour confirmation instructed that we were to be at the pickup point 15 minutes before 5 AM. After wandering around Harrah's/Linq and seeing no one, we received a text message that we would be pickup at our hotel. Fortunately, we kept our car and were able to go back and wait for the driver, who came around 5:30 PM. (2) We were a total of 7 passengers squeezed into a SUV which meant 3 of us had to crawl over the second row seat to get into the third row of seats with barely room for three average sized bodies. The choice of vehicle added greatly to the discomfort of the excursion. Being seniors, my wife and I were slow walkers and could not have walked down the viewpoints of the Horseshoe Bend within the allotted time.
If a Luxury SUV (Lincoln Navigator 2021) is a small car, what is big enough for you?
Amazing experienced with an amazing tour guide named Paula. She’s on time, very knowlegeable with the places .hard working and so patient and professional. She did an extra mile. Highly recommended! Kudos to West Pearl Tours for a job well done!
This was a very pleasant excursion. The guide was top rate and excellent and accommodating. Very knowledgeable Will do it again
Stunning views and we were lucky for there were not too many visitors. A privilege! Our driver from West pearl was nice and drove carefully. A greatly appreciated day.
