Annapurna Basislager Trek

Well planned trip. The tour guide is very experienced. Itinerary is flexible. Free choice of food and drinks during trekking. Travel from 30 April, almost rain every afternoon from around 2pm. Mostly good weather before noon.

Birendra did an amazing job arranging our ABC trek. We felt safe, well-informed and well-supported throughout. We so lucky to have him as our guide. Would definitely recommend him to friends.

I have highly recommend this guide, not just because he walks his talks, but also listens genuinely to and is very nice to care about the needs of his clients. Though sometimes seems bit obnoxious to selected teammates, he always tries his best to satisfy the requests from us all, albeit the needs might vary from time to time.

This is my first trip to the snow mountain, and I am fortunate to introduce our guide "Birendra" to our friends, who is a cheerful, friendly, responsible person who finds that the team members can have problems, he will provide immediate assistance, and even if we have any requests, even troublesome requests. He also tried to satisfy us, thanking him for leading us, so that we have this unforgettable, enjoyable and safe journey.

Birendra Duwadi was a great guide for our 10-people private group. He was very informative from the planning stage to the farewell at Kathmandu airport. He was helpful throughout the hike, and made sure everyone was safe along the trail, and had all that we needed in the teahouses we stayed in. At mealtimes he served us well. His team of porters are amazing and kind. Thank you all! You made our first trek in the Himalayan mountains very memorable.

As a regular hiker, I always long to hike to one of these high altitude base camps in Nepal. With a group of 10 hiking buddies, we embarked on an adventure to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) im Nepal. Our guide Birendra Duwadi from Mission Himalaya Treks picked us up from the Pokhara airport in the morning, greeted us with a big smile, a team of young and energetic porters picked up our duffy bags and loaded them on 3 jeeps. We had a quick lunch and headed directly to the head of the trail. The plan is to hike from The New Bridge near Samrong all the way up to ABC over 4 days. I never expected this to be an easy hike particularly with the possible high altitude sickness in mind. The hike was not exactly easy, and I expected that. What made it easy was our guide. He always gave positive encouragement, was flexible with changes, gave us options to consider, allowed time for the slower ones in the group to rest, adjust our gears, take pictures, etc. He always took care of our interest first, took our orders for all 3 meals and worked with the kitchens in all the tea houses to get us our food ! He tried to satisfy all our requests with our preference in the limited choice of accommodation on the trail. He gave us tips to prevent or alleviate altitude sickness. He has always, I mean always, a big smile on his face. The fact that Birendra was recommended to us by another friend who went with him before, gave us some confidence, but I am so grateful that it was Birendra who was our guide. Cannot ask for more.
