Andorra ist ein unabhängiges Land zwischen Spanien und Frankreich mit einer einzigartigen Geschichte, Natur, Gastronomie und Kulturerbe, was diesen Tagesausflug zu einem der interessantesten macht, um sich während Ihres Aufenthalts im überfüllten Barcelona ein wenig auszuruhen. Wenn Sie nicht 13 oder mehr Stunden in einem Bus verbringen möchten, der von 3 verschiedenen Ländern an einem Tag gefahren wird, möchten Sie lieber Teil einer exklusiven Tour nach Andorra sein. Also, bitte, erwarten Sie nicht, ein großes Kaufhaus oder ein Einkaufszentrum zu finden, denn Andorra ist viel mehr als das. PS : Wenn Sie wirklich an Frankreich vorbei wollen, können wir es gegen eine zusätzliche Zahlung tun (frei von 4 Personen). Besonders empfehlenswert ist es, die Schönheit der Fahrt in Berguedà und La Cerdanya, noch in Katalonien (Spanien) zu beobachten und Andorra zu betreten, nachdem Sie einige Meilen durch Frankreich gefahren sind. PASSENPFLICHT (kein Führerschein oder Personalausweis) für alle Passagiere, die aus Drittstaaten kommen. Ich muss eine Mindestanzahl an Passagieren (2 Erwachsene) für die Tour erhalten.

Es ist eine mittelalterliche Brücke aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Es fließt das ganze Jahr hindurch Wasser unter. Die Vegetation ist zu jeder Jahreszeit unterschiedlich. Es liegt im Süden des Landes, nahe der spanischen Grenze, etwa 850 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. In der Nähe der Brücke lebten bekanntlich die ersten Bewohner des heutigen Territoriums von Andorra vor etwa 12.000 Jahren.
Es ist ein altes Haus, in dem seit 1580 bis 2011 die Regierung Andorras lebte. Der Eintritt in den Ort ist freiwillig und kostet 5 €. Wenn einige der Mitglieder in Casa de la Vall nicht interessant sind, können sie 1 Stunde damit verbringen, einzukaufen und die Straßen der Altstadt von Andorra la Vella hinauf zu laufen.
Dies ist ein spektakulärer Aussichtspunkt, der etwa 1.950 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel liegt. Von diesem Ort aus können wir eine Zinnskulptur sehen, die einen Mann darstellt, der die Aussicht beobachtet, umgeben von einer unteren Glasplattform. Die Aussicht auf die Berge gehört zur Gemeinde Canillo: Hauptstadt und einige ihrer Umgebung wie Picknicks und Skipisten. Die Spitze der Berge wird mindestens 10 Monate des Jahres etwas Schnee haben. Es ist eine optionale Haltestelle und die Kosten betragen 5€ pro Person (nicht inbegriffen; wenn das Café geschlossen ist, akzeptieren sie nur Barzahlung in Euro).
Der Name dieser Attraktion ist nur Ordino. Ein kleines Dorf, Hauptstadt einer der sieben Gemeinden Andorras. In Ordino können wir in den engen Gassen hinaufgehen, wo wir einige Häuser aus dem 17. Jahrhundert, eine schöne Kirche, Familienhäuser und sogar ein paar Cafés in der Hauptstraße sehen können. Ich kann Ihnen auch ein anderes charmantes Dorf in Andorra zeigen, kleiner als Ordino und ohne fast Dienstleistungen, aber es wird ein Geheimnis zwischen Ihnen und mir sein.
Von dem schnellen Wachstum aus der zweiten Hälfte des XX Jahrhunderts gibt es noch einige Städte, die den Charme aus der Vergangenheit bewahren. Eines dieser Beispiele ist Ordino. In Ordino können wir die Straßen in der Altstadt entlanggehen, wo wir einige Häuser aus dem XVII Jahrhundert, wie Casa Rosell oder Casa Areny-Plandolit, sowie seine barocke Kirche, Saint Cornelius und Saint Cebrian besichtigen. Für diejenigen, die lieber eine wirklich alte Kirche aus dem Mittelalter sehen möchten, kann ich Ihnen Sant Miquel d'Engolasters (XII Jahrhundert) oder Santa Coloma (spätes VIII-frühes IX Jahrhundert) empfehlen, letzteres kostet 7€ und beinhaltet ein kleines Museum mit audiovisuellem Erlebnis und zeigt drei alte Gemälde XII-XIII, die im XX Jahrhundert aus andorranischen Kirchen herausgerissen, aber vom Land wiedergefunden wurden.

Antonio was a great and very knowledgeable guide. He was on time and communicative and Andorra was stunning - we went all over the little country and it has it all, from old medieval churches to picturesque mountains. Antonio knew lots of interesting places to hit as well as great photo spots. Since I was the only traveler that day it was very relaxed and I had a lot of say in the itinerary, I imagine it's a bit different with more of a group, but nonetheless I would highly recommend. I also didn't mind the long drive from Barcelona - Antonio's car was comfortable and the scenery in Spain is beautiful, and Antonio had a lot of information and history about Andorra along the way.

Andorra is underrated yet its Pyrenees mountain features have the touch of the Swiss Alps that we enjoyed wading through flowing springs and some snow caps even during Spring. Thanks to Anton our guide who was very knowledgeable about Andorra from its geography, history, and current affairs. He was very good at driving us around the best spots and on time. He was very flexible and he customized our trip based on our interests and the needs of the kids. He was very helpful and answered all our questions, and knew a lot about the place that makes you love Andorra more. Plus, we were able to have our passports stamped with official Andorra border entry stamp.

Had a brilliant trip front start to finish on our tour of Andorra, perfect itinerary for the day, didn’t feel rushed and had plenty of time to explore. The Alpine views and snowy peaks were lovely and we had one of the best meals on our trip at a local spot nestled in the mountains that we were dropped off at! This tour is quite a commitment, however, due to the amount of driving involved from Barcelona - much more time than we anticipated, but it’s the only way to get there (no airports or trains go to Andorra) and the van was comfortable. Most of what we saw was while driving and a few brief spots for pictures. We didn’t get to stroll through any medieval towns or walk any suspension bridges as pictured, but, to be fair, the itinerary seemed limited/fluid due to the daylight hours we had in mid-November. We did walk around a 8th century church that pretty cool tho. Those going during different seasons would likely have a different experience. I would recommend to those going to do some research on Andorra and chat with Antonio about the specific itinerary prior to make sure you don’t miss anything you want to see or see pictured with the tour.
Thanks for this review. It is not a secret than Andorra is 3h from Barcelona. Maybe a little bit less if you don't start from the Barcelona center and don't stop on the way. Anyways much less drive than in the 3 countries in 1 day. In this daytrip in particular, there was a family with a couple of member celiacs and the lunch time took us 1h30 min in your restaurant. As you said in this season days are shorter and sus sets about 5.30 am in Barcelona (even a bit before that in the mountains). The andorra old towns are not medieval because most of the oldest houses are from 17th century or newer (most of the andorra construction is new). The only medieval buildings in the country are the 32 oldest churches romanesque and prerromanesque and a medieval bridge.
If you’re wondering whether to book this excursion, don’t hesitate because this trip was well worth it! Antonio knew all the most beautiful places to stop for postcard-like pictures, and he and the driver were more than accommodating. My husband and son are both celiac, and he made sure we got to a restaurant that was gluten free during the trip. I would highly recommend this trip to see the quaint towns in Andorra!
