If you want to visit the park, in my opinion, it is essential to go with a guide to fully grasp the history! We found Gaetano and he was truly excellent, thank you for making our visit truly very pleasant!
A beautiful journey through Magna Graecia thanks to a friendly and very knowledgeable guide. Beatrice was like a travel companion
Decadent site, the most fallen of all archaeological areas. All old and erased signs, cracks in the mountain that invented folk names like Dionysius' ear draw attention but seeing them we were disappointed.
We are sorry you were disappointed. As guides, we love sharing the history of these 2,000-year-old limestone monuments, which cannot be perfectly intact. While sites like the Ear of Dionysius charm thousands of visitors, please note that the signage and maintenance are managed by the site administration, not by the tour guides. We will pass your feedback along to them."
Roberta gave us an excellent tour of the Neapolis Archeological Park. She was very informative and helped us gain insight to the history of this area. Robert was very friendly. She answered all our questions and made the experience very pleasant. I would highly recommend this tour and Roberta as the guide.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We are delighted to hear that Roberta made your visit to the Neapolis Archeological Park so informative and pleasant. Your high recommendation means a lot to us and to her!
Eva is a very knowledgeable tour guide and explained about the quarries, Ear of Dionysius, and the Greek and Roman amphitheaters. She is patient and I would highly recommend this tour.
A unique picture into the past guided by an expert who also could relate the history to our special interests
Great tour of the park , no better way to learn the history than with an excellent guide. Thankyou so much Fede
Beautiful place. Very interesting visit. The guide, Gaetano, competent, helpful, kind, professional.
If you want to really learn about the ruins located in this park, sign up for this tour. It was informative and added to our learning.
A tour of Sicily reveals many Greek and Roman ruins, so after a few weeks it gets a little repetitive. That's why we decided to book this private tour of Neopolis Archaeological Park in Catania. The many chapters of foreign conquests of Sicily and her people are essential contexts to understanding Sicilian history. While the structures are impressive in their own right, Tommaso and Giovanna recounted chronological histories, shared stories behind the ruins and made connections which helped us understand the big picture; very satisfying. Also, they stayed with us for more than two hours for a 90 min tour, perhaps in response to our interest? We highly recommend this tour with Hermes Sicily Tourist group. Thank you, Tommaso and Giovanna, for a wonderful day of learning with your professional yet friendly style.
