Anacortes Whale Watching Adventure Tour - Zodiac Boat

Amazing captain and naturalist guide. We did happen to see two pods of orcas and a gray whale. However even had we not seen any wildlife the naturalist was like listening to a professor who knew more than you could ever know about the entire area and the wildlife in it. I have been on at least 20 Wildlife tours, including while watching trips and she was clearly the most amazing and knowledgeable I've ever met in my 63 years. Blue Kingdom Whale and Wildlife Tours provided our family group of 10 with the trip of a lifetime! From our 7-year-old to our 50-year-old, everyone had an absolute blast. It was a rainy, windy day, but the crew completely minimized the elements by dressing us in heavy-duty gear from head to toe. We looked like we were going snowboarding! The included beanies, gloves, binoculars, and goggles kept us completely warm and comfortable. Take the goggles—you will thank them later! Wildlife-wise, we struck gold. We saw four different types of whales, highlighted by a Gray whale feeding and Orcas chasing a Minke whale. Our naturalist was incredibly knowledgeable and could even identify individual whales by their tag numbers. As a huge bonus, the Zodiac boat was perfect for the members of our group prone to motion sickness. The fresh open air and up-and-down movement instead of rolling kept everyone feeling great the whole time. They even sent us amazing photos after the trip. Truly a professional operation and worth every penny!

It was the best trip I could have asked for. We saw two orca families and a grey whale. There was a baby orca! Our tour guide was 10/10. So smart, informative, and kind.

This trip was unbelievable! I researched and chose taking a whale watching trip out of Anacortes because the likelihood of finding orcas was so much higher. I was so glad I did and chose Blue Kingdom. They had all the gear available for us, including binoculars and the suits to keep us warm. They have room under the seats to store your backpacks. They did not have water so plan to bring some. I loved that it was open air so you could really experience it and see the wildlife. There was enough room on the boat for everyone to get along the side we were looking at at the time. It is very evident that they really care about you having the best experience and seeing the most wildlife possible. During our trip, we saw orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, Harbor seals, otters, puffins, and starfish. The trip was 4 hours. They said it would be 3-4 hours and ours lasted the full 4. The woman that was our wildlife guide (I can’t remember her name) was incredible. She was so knowledgeable and we learned so many interesting facts. She was able to identify the whales and tell us their history based on their markings and a database they use. My whole family loved it and it was the highlight of our trip.

Wonderful whale watching trip! It was an overcast day with rain in the forecast, and they provided all of us with warm waterproof pants, coats, hats, and gloves. Even had binoculars that we could borrow. The crew was so kind and helpful! It was obvious that they knew the area and the whales that frequented the waters there. We saw a grey whale, and a pod of orcas who were hunting what we think was a seal. Along the way, the crew pulled up beside groups of sea lions, seals, and many birds. They kept things interesting by telling us lots of stories and facts about the whales. Highly recommend!

We saw a pod of orcas hunt a seal, as well as harbor sea lions, a grey whale, and stellar seal lions. Our guide passed on very interesting and timely information regarding what we were watching. The company provided all outerwear, hats, mittens, goggles and binoculars ( and parking!). If you want to witness sea life off of Anacortes sign up for this trip .

We saw a great variety of wild life including orcas, a gray whale, harbor seals, Steelar Sea Lions, eagles, and more. Boat was great fun and Clint and Tiffany were fantastic guides. 10/10 will repeat!

Clint and Amanda were the absolute best! So friendly, kind and knowledgable. We got so lucky on our tour and saw orcas, humpbacks, seals, sea lions, a puffin, otter and bald eagle! I highly recommend Blue Kingdom!

Had a really good experience with Blue Kingdom Whale tours on the zodiac whale watch trip. I arrived early to find a parking space as they said parking can be limited in the marina and get fitted with the outergear that they provide for those on the zodiac trip. Thanks for having those big sizes for us plus size gals! It all fit great and I was not only warm and dry but comfortable for the entire trip. We ended up going over to Victoria to find the whales which is a very long ride in a zodiac boat, but the seats have back rests and the seas were calm so it made for a pleasant journey. I was a solo traveler and felt welcomed and looked after by the driver and the naturalist on the boat. We saw a couple of pods of Orca which is what I came to see along with some sea lions on a big rock island which was really cool. You can bring your own snacks and water on the boat which was great since it is a long trip. I would highly recommend this trip if you are interested in whale watching. The naturalist plotted a diagram on where we went and which pods of Orca she identified in the office after the trip.
