REGULIERSGRACHT (7 BRÜCKEN): monumentale Aussicht – Der einzige Punkt in den Amsterdamer Grachten, an dem Sie sieben Brücken hintereinander auf einen Blick sehen können
Im Vergleich zu den anderen Kanälen ist die Prinsengracht ein relativ bescheidener Kanal. Während die Herengracht für die Oberschicht Amsterdams gebaut und entworfen wurde, wurde die Prinsengracht als Übergangskanal zwischen dem reichen Grachtengürtel und den sie umgebenden Arbeitervierteln (Jordaan) entworfen. Dies ist auch an den Häusern an der Prinsengracht zu erkennen, die im Vergleich zu den anderen Kanälen viel „nüchterner“ sind: weniger breit und mit weniger Verzierungen als an den anderen Kanälen.
Die „Magere Brücke“ ist die älteste noch funktionierende, teilweise hölzerne Zugbrücke in Amsterdam und ein Nationaldenkmal. Die „Magere Brücke“ wurde im 17. Jahrhundert erbaut. Damals war das Geld der Stadtverwaltung etwas knapp, deshalb entschied man sich, keine exorbitante Brücke zu bauen, sondern eine billige (Holz statt Stein) und schmale („schmale“) Brücke. Die Brücke war so schmal, dass die Leute kaum aneinander vorbeikamen, oder sie musste sehr schmal sein. Die aktuelle Brücke stammt aus dem Jahr 1934. Seit 2003 ist der Autoverkehr nicht mehr gestattet. Die „Magere Brücke“ ist Amsterdams berühmteste Brücke und Schauplatz vieler Filme (einschließlich James Bond).
Das Eremitage-Museum befindet sich im Amstelhof. Das Gebäude stammt aus dem Jahr 1681 und war ursprünglich ein Pflegeheim (300 Jahre lang). 2007 wurde das Pflegeheim in ein Museum umgewandelt. Einige Räume wurden erhalten und restauriert. Das Eremitage-Museum ist ein Anbau der Eremitage in Sankt Petersburg, Russland, und teilt einen Teil seiner Kunstsammlung mit der in Russland. Zusammen besitzen die beiden Eremitagen die größte Kunstsammlung der Welt.
BLAUWBRUG „BLAUE BRÜCKE“ verdankt ihren Namen ihrem Vorgänger: eine Zugbrücke wie die Magere Brücke, aber mit blauem Geländer. Die aktuelle Blauwbrug stammt aus dem Jahr 1883 und wurde vom Pont Neuf in Paris inspiriert. Wegen der Weltausstellung in Amsterdam im Jahr 1883 wurde eine neue Brücke mit großartigem Erscheinungsbild benötigt. Die Kronen auf der Brücke sind „Kaiserkronen“ und sind dieselben Kronen wie die auf der Westerkerk und im Stadtwappen. Die Krone ist die Kaiserkrone des Heiligen Römischen Reiches, die Kaiser Maximilian I. 1489 als Dank für die finanzielle Unterstützung Amsterdams überreichte. Die Kaiserkrone ist ein Beweis dafür, dass selbst der große Kaiser Amsterdam empfahl und daher für den Handel sehr wichtig war.

The itinerary displayed for this cruise did not match the actual cruise. Please don’t expect to see any historic sites or monuments as listed. It’s really just a simple version of a booze cruise. The itinerary mentioned passing by several sites like The Jordaan, Anne frank house, 7 bridges etc. it’s just a simple cruise. When I mentioned to the captain he said that the itinerary was old and hasn’t been updated.

During the cruise, guests pass many of Amsterdam's well-known landmarks, including the Oude Kerk, Anne Frank House, NEMO Science Museum, the National Maritime Museum, the Rembrandt House Museum, the Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge), the Blauwbrug, City Hall, the Dancing Houses, the Munttoren, the famous Seven Bridges and many more. Depending on canal traffic, temporary closures, events and other operational circumstances, the exact route may vary from one departure to another. Amsterdam is a city with more than 750 years of history and hundreds of monuments, bridges and historic buildings. It simply isn't possible to include every famous landmark during a one-hour cruise. In fact, even a full-day cruise would only cover a small part of everything the city has to offer. We appreciate your comment regarding the itinerary and will review the wording to make it even clearer that routes may vary due to canal traffic, temporary closures, events and instructions from the authorities. Great experience! The food and drinks were good and there was plenty of them. Onno was a great and humorous tour guide and we learned so much in such short time. Would do again!

Me and my husband had an amazing morning on this hour long cruise captained by the lovely Onno. The brunch and drinks provided were perfect and enjoyed by both of us. Although we didn’t book a private cruise we were the only ones on the boat that morning but I am sure it would have been equally enjoyable with others. Onno was a fantastic host / captain and kept us laughing the entire time as well as giving us a well informed tour of the local area. The cruise, with a plentiful brunch, was well worth the price and was a lovely way to start a day in the city or to celebrate any special occasion. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a special but relaxed and casual morning in Amsterdam. Thank you Onno, we hope to see you again in the future!

What a lovely introduction to Amsterdam! We arrived (from the US) at 8:00 AM and wanted something to do before our hotel room was ready. After dropping off our bags, we went straight to brunch on this canal boat! Wonderful food, presented beautifully - fruit, sandwiches, pastries, and other delights, with a big selection of drinks (alcoholic and non). As we enjoyed the food, our captain took us on an informative, fun, and completely enjoyable ride through some of the main canals of the city. We loved every minute!! We would HIGHLY recommend this experience to all visitors to Amsterdam!

We absolutely loved this tour! We lucked out it just being six of us, so we got a private tour. Luuk, our boat driver and guide was great, pointing out different facts about the neighborhoods we roamed through and answering all our questions. He even kindly provided some restaurant and cafe recommendations at the end. Would recommend!
This was the first boat tour that I took while and Amsterdam. It said the bar pretty high. First of all, it was a small group. I was a solo traveler and was joined two other people from France. Second of all, the boat operator/tour guide was incredible in that he was able to tell us about the city in-depth personally. Other boat tours I’ve been on, you just have to put on headphones or they speak to you over a speaker. On this tour, you could hear him without him using a microphone. There was food and mimosas that were included and also pretty good/abundant. The only thing though is that when I took a different tour later on in the evening, it was a little bit of a letdown as I was expecting something like this. To be honest, I’ve taken multiple boat tours in different cities, and none of them have come close to this one. If you do want to take a boat tour, would highly recommend this one over other ones.
