Amazon Jungle & Baños Adventure City : 4 Tage Natur & Tierwelt

We had a fantastic adventure over 4 days travelling over the Andes and down into the Amzaon. Eduardo showed and taught us so much about Ecuador. We really crammed a lot into 4 days, from travelling over the Andes, stops in several towns, thermal baths, walks in the Rainforest, travelling along the Arajuno and Napo Rivers, a visit to Ahuano, to a Forest family and a nearby animal rescue centre, fantastic waterfalls and a great visit to Banos. The lodge, Liana Lodge, was lovely and far enough into the forest to give you a real Amazon experience. Clean, tidy, calming and right on the river. Our room was just the same. The food was freshly cooked, good and enough. The staff were knowledgable and very helpful and friendly. Thanks must go to Angel for being our guide. Eduardo is a friendly and helpful man and told us and showed us so much. The waterfalls were amazing, the views over the Amazon, cable cars across valleys. So much crammed into our trip. He stopped often to allow us to take photos and see many different places and sights and even allowed us to change our itinerary once in Banos. We opted to go Water Rafting on the last day which he arranged ( at our cost) which was fantastic. A memory making 4 days, so thank you Eduardo. This trip was worth every penny.

The entire experience was amazing and way beyond expectations. Our trip was arranged and guided by Eduardo. His planning skills, attention to details of the itinerary and attention to our needs was unequaled. We spent 4 days crossing the Andes, and traveling through the Amazon by personal car and staying in a jungle lodge. I had been concerned about being with a stranger in such closed spaces. Eduardo was very friendly and professional; pleasantly conversational and passionate about his country - both the people and nature. And he was an expert in all of it. Eduardo is also a passionate birder; so his knowledge of the birds of the region runs very deep. He was always ready to alter plans to make our trip more of what we wanted as well. Eduardo was really the kind of guy you would just want to spend some time with anywhere. And it was obvious his contacts throughout the region feel the same way, which makes all the difference in getting the extra special care you would hope for.

We had the most fantastic trip to the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest with Eduardo! The trip was exciting, like when we travelled to the eco-lodge on a canoe; enormously interesting, like when we saw (and ate!) how chocolate is made from bean to chocolate sauce; delicious - all the amazing food, including a wide range of local produce; beautiful, such as the thundering waterfalls of the Devil's Cauldron; and great fun...all of it! Everyone we met along the way was friendly and welcoming; Eduardo and the local guides were extremely knowledgable about the tropical flora and fauna, and Ecuador in general. We had an amazing time...thank you, Eduardo!
