All-Inclusive-Sherpa-Camp im Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Sand Sherpa! Hugo and the team were fantastic. The drive into camp using the radio was a lot of fun, and Hugo's commentary, sharing insights about the animals and landscape, was truly fascinating. Dinner was super, and the scorpion walk was undoubtedly a highlight! Booking was seamless, and Diana's communication throughout the process was excellent. I would highly recommend Sand Sherpa to anyone considering a visit. The only suggestion I’d like to share is whether it might be possible to add mosquito netting to the bottom bed to help keep the bugs out at night. Other than that, it was the perfect getaway. Thank you so much, it made for a very memorable birthday celebration and we'd love to do it again in the future!

We spent one night at the Sand Sherpa Camp in the Dubai Desert Conseveration Reserve. Communication in advance and booking was easy and they were very responsive to any questions. We received reminders about the time and meeting point up front. The organized transfer from the hotel was on-time and brought us comfortably to the reserve. After a friendly welcome, the drive to the camp in an open truck started. Arriving to the camp, we were introduced to the facilities and could enjoy a few hours for ourselves cooking coffee and enjoying the sunset in the dunes. The camp is very spacious with own fireplaces which made the experience individual. Dinner was freshly made and delicious while breakfast offered a basic start into the day. The scorpion walk during night and the falconry added some adventure to the experience. We slept well in the well-maintained trailers and it was lovely to be waken up by the early bird's sounds. If we had to recommend doing one thing differently it would be making stops with the truck during the safari drive to the camp when spotting animals for photos instead of just driving a bit slower. Overall, highly recommended to book, as it is a very individual tour. For us it was a great opportunity to broaden the horizon during our city trip to Dubai.

We had a great time at the Sand Sherpa camp. Our guides were very helpful and experienced, the accommodation super comfortable and the food was delicious. All the necessary equipment was provided and we loved the silence of the night in the desert and star-lit sky. Our kids really enjoyed the glowing scorpions hunt and doing tricks with Sally the Harris Hawk. We would love to go back!

We had such an amazing experience. Our guide, Daz, was so informative and he is a very kind person. The tent was comfortable, camp fire was nice and cozy. We are definitely looking forward to come back.

Wonderful experience. We did the falconry safari and opted not to sleep over as we have young kids (ages 3 and 5). Hugo was a very welcoming, personable and knowledgeable guide and they were really accommodating for our kids ages and let us go with the flow. Stunning location and very peaceful. A fantastic alternative to the very touristy big desert excursion groups. Memorable and special, thanks so much.

My second experience with Sand Sherpa and once again a great one. Friendly, informative, educational and well organised. All you need for an over night escape/experience in the beautiful Dubai dessert reserve. The kids keep talking about it (3 and 6) . We’ll be back…again.

Informative, authentic, beautiful and very comfortable ( not to mention the very tasty pizza!). The only thing I would have wished is more time spent on the camp but understandably one needs to accept one is merely guest in this reserve and cannot/should not impose further :) Thank you Sand Sherpa, I will see you again and that is a certainty.

A very friendly, extremely knowledgeable team gave us a fantastic camping/glamping experience. We saw all sorts of animals from Oryx to scorpions, we met Sally the falcon and had delicious evening BBQ. Thanks Pete and the team.

Love the minimal luxury, but extremely efficient approach that makes camping as close to what camping in wilderness should look and feel like . The trailers and equipment’s are truly world class and the staff are fantastic and knowledgeable. There could be a few more portable toilets spread across nearer to trailers especially for cold nights to avoid having to walk a bit to the single toilet facility in base camp.
