John was a wonderful guide/driver. Extremely knowledgeable, lots of history and a smattering of local tales. Comfortable coach ride, great for a solo traveler because one column of seats were all single. Driver has a microphone, so very easy to hear him no matter where you sit. Beautiful sites. My one complaint is I would have liked to get off the coach at the waterfall instead of just driving by it slowly in both directions so each side of the coach could get a picture.

This was a fabulous day out. Our guide was local to the area and so had lots of stories to tell us that we would never have known if we had driven the route ourselves There were some good stops, which were well-timed along the route and we were able to get food and drink along the way. It was a great way to see the filming locations for All Creatures Great and Small, which we particularly enjoyed. Another highlight was visiting the Wensleydale. Creamery, where we bought far too much cheese, but we managed to eat it all during our the holiday.

Four of us booked this tour, initially because of the TV series, but also because it gave us the chance to see the beautiful Dales during a relatively short holiday. I can’t praise it enough. John, our wonderful guide, was so knowledgeable (and friendly) and the tour, much of it through breathtaking scenery along narrow lanes, was everything I could have hoped for. Grassington was gorgeous, the Wensleydale Creamery a great spot for lunch (and a chance to overeat on cheese!), and Bolton Castle a fitting finale. Fabulous all round and thank you John for an unforgettable day.

This was a wonderful tour, whether or not you are a fan of the show/books. The Yorkshire Dales are beautiful and our guide John was extremely knowledgeable. He has lived in the area most of his life and clearly has a love for it, as his passion comes through in his commentary. I highly recommend the tour.

Almost can't think of enough superlatives! Our driver/guide was John, a Yorkshire native, and his narrative was simply the best. He was interesting, knowledgeable, entertaining, spoke clearly and concisely and at a very good pace. His driving was excellent - I was in the front seat and never once did I cringe. The tour design is interesting as it covers not only the Yorkshire Dales but also weaves in the two series of "All Creatures Great and Small" which takes place in the Dales and has made it such a popular destination. The tour allowed for just the right amount of comfort breaks.

Wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and great at driving "cozy" roads! 16 passenger van--which was a nice size, but do not sit in the very back row as it is very bouncy!! One of us had to move to the (luckily) empty seat up front as it was too much movement for him. It is a long day. We would have loved to have done just a 1/2 day. But, there were lots of sights. The Creamery was full up when we stopped so we couldn't sit down for lunch. Went to a lovely pub in town (5 min. walk) instead. The church where they got married in the show was a lovely little historic church. The Bolton Castle was fun to look around complete with wild (fenced) boars! Grassington was a darling town and would have liked to have stayed there longer. The falls were dry due to a drought. The Dales area is beautiful. One lovely photo spot after another!

This is a great tour. We got to see many of the filming sites for All Creatures. Grassington was great. The cheese factory and town of Hawes were very enjoyable. Really liked the tour of Castle Bolton and the falconry show. Guide John was very knowledgeable. Excursion was paced right balancing driving time with time to tour towns. Group size was perfect as well

John our driver and guide was amazing . He was so informative. Raised in the areas he knew back roads and history. That was truly remarkable. The day trip was worth every minute. The stops were well timed and great info about places to eat. I recommend this. You see so much of the vales and high land wildlife and livestock. The communities were very nice and shops were great !

This is a full day immersive experience in the history, culture and beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. The sites selected highlighted the All Creatures Great and Small theme but that was only a portion of a worthwhile experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the guide, John, and found him entertaining and knowledgeable. This is definitely an excursion that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

The whole trip was one for the books! John was a delight! He is a great story teller and a historian. There was no down time, his sense of humour and the quiz at the end were the highlights! The number of people is just right, not too crowded. Yorkshire just gorgeous. I had cheese for lunch at Wensleydale-I can't even choose which one is the best as everything is just delicious. We had the time to experience the Market day in Hawes and I had to bring home some honey. I fell inlove with Grassington and met the local celebrity Cat. Lastly, made the way up to the top of Bolton Castle to see 360 degrees view of the Dales.
