Alicante Weinprobe und Tapas Club

Had a lovely paella making class with Olivera. After shopping for ingredients in the market and listening to the stories of the area we went back to the tasting club to make our paella. We all had a chance to do a bit of the cooking and our guide Oliveira was outstanding! Everyone in the market when we were shopping, knew her and obviously loved her! Her instructions were very good when it came to making the paella and she made sure everyone was involved and was a fantastic host. As I am Celiac gluten-free she doublecheck all ingredients for me on the day and I felt very included in the cooking and eating. I really enjoyed the day. The food and drink were plentiful and It was fantastic value for money and would heartily recommend it to everyone thank you Olivera! 🥘

What an awesome experience. Guided by Andrea, we chose the best ingredients from the amazing Alicante Central Market and then were helped to cook a seafood, meat and veggie paella. Washed down with fine local wine and sharing tapas with brilliant fellow explorers we all had a great afternoon which we thoroughly recommend. Can’t wait to try out our new skills

Paco did a great job explaining the wines, the food and the culture of Alicante. He took us through the details of wine tasting, the uniqueness of the local wines we tasted and the history behind each as well as the tapas pairings. And he answered all of our questions. All-in-all, a very enjoyable evening.

My 3rd experience of the tasting club……and, as previously, it was fabulous. The hosts were good fun, knowledgeable and really keen to make sure the experience was good for everyone. The wines were perfect, interesting and local, and the whole experience was well curated from start to finish. There were 5 wines and 5 accompanying tapas, and we certainly didn’t need anything else to eat that night. The tapas was generous in portions and really tasty, and each one was an appropriate pairing to the wine being tasted! We were a group of 8 ladies from England on a hen week, including 3 generations and everyone was made to feel important and included. What a great evening, thank you! I would recommend this to all age groups

We had a lovely evening tasting wines and tapas from the local Alicante area. Paco was a great host and was really passionate about the history of Alicante wines. We enjoyed the fun, game-style wine tasting as it wasn't too serious or high brow, but was still informative and enjoyable! Would definitely recommend for the casual wine enthusiast!
