Dies ist ein Tag der Entdeckung und Geschichte! Unsere Route folgt weniger befahrenen Pfaden und gibt Ihnen einen anspruchsvollen Einblick in die Vergangenheit und Gegenwart Portugals. Wir fahren in die Stadt Silves. Hier haben Sie Zeit, die beeindruckende Kathedrale zu besichtigen und durch die engen Gassen zu schlendern (Eintrittsgelder nicht inbegriffen). Von hier aus setzen wir unseren Aufstieg in den Monchique Berg fort. Wir besuchen das charmante kleine Spa-Dorf Caldas de Monchique mit Quellen mit nachgewiesener medizinischer Wirkung. Der kurvenreichen Straße folgend erreichen wir den höchsten Punkt der Algarve – Fóia – mit 902 m über dem Meeresspiegel. Von Fóia geht es dann bergab, durchquert die Landschaft und hält in dem kleinen Dorf Marmelete an, wo Sie Zeit haben, in einem der lokalen Restaurants (inklusive) zu Mittag zu essen. Nach dem Mittagessen fahren wir direkt nach Costa Vicentina, um einige herrliche Strände zu besuchen. Dann geht es weiter zum „Ende der Welt“ – Kap St. Vincent. Fahrt durch Sagres, ein typisches Fischerdorf und seinen geschützten Fischerhafen.

Besuchen Sie das aus dieser Zeit stammende Schloss mit herrlichem Blick auf die umliegende Landschaft.
Wir setzen unseren Aufstieg in die Monchique Mountains fort, eine Oase grüner, welliger Hügel, majestätischer Korkbäume und stechender Eukalyptushaine.
Stehend auf 902m über dem Meeresspiegel. Die Aussichten hier sind dramatisch und die Luft unglaublich rein.
Besuchen Sie einige herrliche Strände, an denen Sie einige Zeit zum Spazierengehen haben. Machen Sie einige hervorragende Fotos, entspannen Sie sich und genießen Sie die Aussicht.
Dann geht es weiter zum "Ende der Welt" - der Stadt Sagres - der berühmten Heimat der Prince Henry's School of Navigation. Am Kap St. Vincent (dem südwestlichsten Punkt Europas) thront ein winziger Leuchtturm auf den Klippen und trotzt den Elementen. Atmen Sie die belebende Seeluft ein und bestaunen Sie die Weite der Landschaft.

What an amazing day! This tour took us from the mountain tops in the Monchique Mountains to the most southwestern part of Europe in Sagres and Cabo De San Vicente. Along the way, we stopped and had an absolutely fabulous lunch at the Restaurante O’Castelo. Muito delicioso!! The views along the way were breathtaking and the beaches spectacular. It was a full day, but we saw and learned much about the history and culture of the Algarve. I cannot say enough about Ricardo, our guide. He was amazing. 5-stars plus!! He treated us like we were VIP’s. Ricardo, a native of the Algarve, gave us an in-depth narrative on the history of the area along with a unique perspective of its culture. This made the day even more special for us. An outstanding day!!

The tour guide was very knowledgable about the area and we enjoyed his time with us but our group was picked up a bit late and returned at 1:30 pm instead of 3pm. We were supposed to go for a tour of a sardine museum but this didn’t happen.
Very interesting ride, Pieter as a tour guide was very informative and answered many questions. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
