Claudio was an awesome and fun guy and also a great teacher
Absolutely amazing Claudio was incredible. We drank we laughed and we made pizza. I can’t recommend this enough. I would do this every time I visit.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Frantoio Gargiulo. The olive oil tour was fascinating and gave us a real appreciation for the history and craftsmanship behind the oils. The tasting was incredibly generous, with so many delicious local products to try. Everything was fresh, authentic, and beautifully presented. Our family also participated in the pizza-making class, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Claudio was fantastic with our kids, making the experience fun, interactive, and memorable for all of us. He was patient, engaging, and clearly loves what he does. The pizzas we made were delicious, and the rest of the meal was outstanding as well. If you’re visiting the Sorrento or Positano area, this is an experience we highly recommend. It was educational, delicious, and one of our favorite family memories from Italy. Thank you to Claudio and the entire team for such a warm and unforgettable experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A wonderful and fun afternoon spent learning how to make pizzas with the fantastic Claudio. The location is in a very beautiful setting with very friendly and accommodating people. Can highly recommend booking this as so far it it has definitely been the highlight of our trip.

We had a great time. Walked trough the gardens, explained us how olive oil is made and we had an olive oil tasting before we went to the pizza school. It was so much fun and we had the best pizza chef. He made our day. Good interaction and we really learned how to make a margarita pizza (also got our diploma and the recipe). The pizza was fresh and delicious. Nice view from the restaurant’s terrace while eating. All the people around the property were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend this tour.
Giuseppe gave us a tour and olive oil tasting he was very kind and took the time to answer all our questions. We did a pizza cooking class with Claudio after and he was very charismatic and personable. The views were amazing and the food and people are incredible too! Thank you!
This is my 5 star review for the pizza making class I had with Claudio with an amazing view of Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius. The class was informative, fun, and an amazing time. Experience was unmatched so far in my 3 week journey through Italy. From the moment we were picked up at the hotel to the moment we arrived to the class. Claudio our pizza making master chef was excited and greeting us with one of those greetings that you hope to recreate in the future. He was not only our teacher and chef he was our very own camera man. Check out the pics for yourself! The shop on the bottom floor allowed us the opportunity to chat with some amazing people and try a million (kidding, 20 or so) different types of olive oil and balsamic. The restaurant recommendations in Meta were a totally home run, thank you! Shout out Tico Tico!! We forgot our diplomas from the class in the shop and they went above and beyond and delivered our keepsake to our hotel. It was just a sheet of paper but the service and thoughtfulness makes this activity our top one in Italy. It’s a must try for couples, groups of friends or family! Get that one on one time with the genius of the pizza oven. The gladiator himself! Salvadoreeee 🥂
We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Claudio was not only an excellent pizza chef but also a wonderful entertainer who kept our entire family engaged throughout the class. The service was outstanding, with every staff member being attentive, friendly, and especially welcoming to our children (ages 9, 14, and 15). This was a perfect family activity in a region that often caters more to adults. The olive oil tasting was exceptional, and we also enjoyed sampling marmalade, honey, wine, and limoncello. Our kids even discovered several favorite olive oils, which we ended up purchasing and shipping home. The setting was beautiful, with spectacular views from the restaurant while we made our pizzas. The tour of the olive oil production process was both informative and interesting for the whole family. The entire experience—including the olive oil tour, tasting, pizza-making class, and lunch featuring our own pizzas along with wine—lasted about three hours and was well worth it. Highly recommended for families looking for a memorable and authentic experience.
