The whole Acropolis area is beautiful and full of history. The Temple of Zeus is an extensive area, unfortunately with very little evidence of the original temple, but what there is is is well maintained and clean. There are no tour guides at the entrance of the site, so you can not count on that facility, which would help a lot to better understand your history.

Nikos was a great tour guide. He went above and beyond to accommodate any request we had. He was so knowledgeable and made an effort to communicate prior to the tour to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Our group had the most perfect day. Thanks Nickos you were amazing.

Dimitri was amazing! Great communication prior to pickup. The tour was easy, he's packed full of history and facts on all of Athens. The van could easily fit 8 people--warm day for us but, the AC made the outdoor events very livable. We saw the Temple of Zeus, Changing of the Guard, the Olympic Stadium, the Church of St John, and the Acropolis. We opted out of the Acropolis Museum for lunch--his recommended restaurant (gluten allergy consideration) was perfect! The best part of the tour was that he worked with us to figure out the sights that were highest priority and an order that accounted for our day. Highly recommend!!!

Our group used Elegant Greek Tours to pick us up at the Piraeus pier at the end of our cruise, for a tour of Athens the next day, and the return drive to the Athens airport. For each day the trip was flawless, the drivers two named Micheal, and one named Dimitris were fantastic. They were on time, explained many items that we went past, and seamlessly got us as requested. For the tour the next day, Micheal picked us up before the scheduled time, and picked up our tour guide Sotiris. What a tour Sotiris made the places visited come alive he was so knowledgeable and passionate about what we were visiting. We started at the Temple of Zeus and ended at the museum of the Acropolis, we also had a wonderful and delicious lunch at a local restaurant away from the tourist areas. If you are looking for any trip while visiting Athens, I would highly recommend using Elegant Greek Tours.

We booked a post cruise private tour for our group of 12 friends and our driver/guide was Dimitris, who was well dressed, with a great personality, knowledgeable and well spoken. We had a great day visiting all the places of interests with a good commentary by Dimitris at each place we visited. What I like about Elegant Greek Tour is that they were very accommodating to send all our luggage when we disembarked at the end of our cruise at Pireaus Port and sent to the hotel for storage before proceeding with the tour. I highly recommend this company for your private tour.

The tour guide was nice and knowledgeable but two of the four hours are spent by yourselves at the Acropolis without a guide. Not worth it.

This was an excellent way to see the highlights of Athens in one day. Alex was a knowledgeable guide, took us to get the tickets when we arrived and planned the day so that we were able to avoid most of the crowds and extremely hot weather. He provided us information about each of the locations, gave us time to explore on our own and was flexible with the itinerary. He also provided us recommendations for dining and provided cold water and umbrellas as needed due to the heat. Alex was extremely flexible in adjusting the number of participants for the tour as the plans changed - and accommodated our larger group with a minibus.
