Zurück zur glorreichen sizilianischen Vergangenheit. Die Tour führt Sie durch einen herrlichen Ausflug in die griechische und römische Zeit. Während des Tages werden Sie die erstaunlichen Tempel des Tales (Tempel von Juno, Concordia, Hercules, Zeus und andere) sehen. Nach der Mittagspause besuchen Sie die Piazza Armerina, ein wunderschönes mittelalterliches Dorf, das im 11. Jahrhundert von den Normannen gegründet wurde. Besuchen Sie die UNESCO Villa del Casale, eine römische Villa aus dem IV. Jahrhundert, die mit unglaublichen und gut erhaltenen Mosaiken geschmückt ist.

Extraordinary classical sites. Despite the rain and cold, both places are unforgettable. And both Alessio and Roberto were fantastic. All well organized. You guys made it a special day!
Absolutely loved the tour. I was on a solo trip in Catania, and this was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. If you’re planning on booking a tour, this is the one you want to book. We had plenty of time to visit the sites, and our driver Peter was the absolute best. Highly recommend.
I went on this day tour with my grandmother. Peter was our tour guide and was very accommodating. He shared some good places to eat on the day, we drove past scenic views and listened to grandmother's favourite Italian music. It was a lovely experience. (Would recommend buying online tickets prior to the valley of the temples to eliminate time in the line).
The excursion is worth it, it is interesting and very beautiful, spectacular. Peter, our driver, was excellent, attentive to our needs. Bravo!!! Recommended.
Try to buy tickets online a day or two beforehand, to avoid (possible) queues. It seems the 1st Sunday of each month is free (but not always...)
The Agrigento ruins were amazing. Our guide Carmelo was very accommodating, a wonderful driver and we had plenty of time to see everything we wanted. Would highly recommend this tour.
The sites are well-known and there is not much to add. They are amazing. However, keep in mind that the driver is not your guide at the sites. He or she is just going to drop you off and pick you up afterwards. The experience with the “official” docents at the “Valle dei Templi” was actually poor (not Viator’s fault, it has nothing to do with it). No guide at all was available at “villa Romana” when we got there, though you can actually tour the site effectively on your own. My only real remark is that 2 hours at villa Romana, including lunch, were not enough. The villa is amazing and you’ll find yourself rushing through things you’d like to spend more time on.
We booked this trip because we wanted to relax and enjoy the road trip and the landscape during our trip in Sicily, without worrying about driving on roads we did not know. Alessio was a very competent driver and guide and made the whole experience very pleasant.
We had a great day visiting the Valley of the Temples and Villa Romana. We were picked up in Catania and driven across Sicily to visit these incredible sights. Going off other reviews, I think the amount of information you receive is based on your driver. Our driver was friendly and helpful, but this is not a guided tour. He answered our questions but wasn't there to give us a history lesson. He safely drove us across the island and back. Doing the maths, the tour costs a bit less of hiring a car and saves the hassle of navigating Sicily's roadworks and chaotic driving behaviour. Overall we had a great day and these are sights not to be missed!
Nice day very long Really pleasant driver But really didn’t provide any insight into any of the sites … not sure it was worth the price…
