Elounda Village ist ein ideales Ziel für Menschen, die einen Urlaub am Meer an einem Ort verbringen möchten, der weder zu geschäftig noch zu abgelegen ist, mit spektakulärer Küste, schattigen Stränden, kristallklarem Meer und archäologischem Interesse. Spinalonga laut Daten von 2009 hat Spinalonga in den Sommermonaten täglich 1200-1500 Besucher und ist eine der beliebtesten archäologischen Stätten auf Kreta. Spinalonga ist auch als Leprainsel bekannt, wo bis 1957 Patienten aus Kreta und dem Rest Griechenlands unter Quarantäne gestellt wurden. Heute besuchen Tausende von Touristen Spinalonga jeden Sommer mit dem Boot von Elounda aus, um die zerstörten Gebäude zu besichtigen, an denen der Archäologische Dienst hart arbeitet aufrecht erhalten
Die nächste Station ist Agios Nikolaos, eine wunderschöne Stadt mit Kleinstadtatmosphäre, die viel zu bieten hat. Der See und Hafen und die Marina. Seine einzigartigen Merkmale beginnen mit dem See, einem folkloristisch inspirierenden tiefen Gewässer, das durch eine schmale Bucht mit dem Meer verbunden ist. Es ist umgeben und wird von Cafés und Restaurants überragt - ein geschäftiger Treffpunkt für Anwohner und Besucher gleichermaßen. Der See mündet mit einem Wasserstreifen unter der winzigen Straßenbrücke ins Meer.

We had the most amazing day with Adonis. He made our whole trip. We can't stop talking about what a great day we had with him. The restaurant he took us to was hands down the best meal of our 3 week journey. Thank you Adonis for getting us to the best spot for the ferry over to Spinalonga, showing us Elounda and Agios Nikolaos. Our van was spotless, cool and comfortable. Adonis was friendly, kind and spoke English well.

We decided to visit crete as my mother had read the book on the island and wanted to visit spinalonga. We organised the trip from home (scotland) and everything was arranged very easily. The company contacted the hotel prior to our outing to remind us and we were collected the following morning. The car that arrived was had excellent a/c, was very clean and comfortable. Our driver Kosta was excellent a lovely charming gentleman who kept us informed of all the places we were passing etc. Myself and my party would highly recommend this company and if were come back to their beautiful island we would most definitely use then again 😊

The nicest staff imaginable... we came as a family for a private tour and had a terrific time. Driver and guide extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. We will be back for more for sure. A great way to spend a day on crete!
