Loved the tour and learning about the history of the Dominican Republic chocolate, and coffee here is one of a kind monkey land staff were great and the monkeys were so cute and playful

We booked Monkeyland through our cruise excursion, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The bus ride was only about 20 minutes, and once we arrived, everything was well organized. We started by tasting authentic Dominican coffee and mamajuana, which was a fun introduction to the local culture. Then we spent about 45 minutes interacting with the squirrel monkeys, and it was such an unforgettable experience. The monkeys were playful, friendly, and climbed all over us for treats—it was incredible! A special thank you to Jose Rojas and Miguel, who were absolutely fantastic. My dad had a hip replacement just last month, and they continuously checked to make sure he was comfortable. They were patient, thoughtful, and made sure he didn’t miss out on any part of the experience. Their kindness truly made the day even more special. The walk does include a few hills, but it’s not difficult and is manageable for most people. The beautiful setting, friendly staff, and unforgettable monkey encounters made this excursion well worth it. I would absolutely recommend Monkeyland to anyone visiting the Dominican Republic—especially if you’re looking for a unique, memorable experience!
I love it . Tito was very nice. And we came on slow day which we have the tour for our self.
We loved our experience!!! We liked everything. As much the part with the monkeys, as the tasting of the delicious coffee and chocolate, as well as the famous mama Juana. Our guide, Alex, explained everything to us about the city, their culture, and in French at that. You can see that he really loves his job and I highly recommend this activity!
This was a really great experience and such fun. Our tour guide (Flor) was funny and entertaining. He made the long drive bearable! Our monkey time was amazing! The monkeys are so cute and funny. They don’t stink, which my kids were really happy about lol. Pics were a bit expensive, so we didn’t purchase them. We spent just enough time with the monkeys. The chocolate and coffee demo was also very interesting and informative. Coffee and chocolate were delicious!! Highly recommend this tour. Definitely worth the price of admission!
Amazing experience the monkeys. They were so soft and well trained qnd our tour guild Osahury was fabulous. I would recommend this to everyone visiting puerto plata
