TREFFEN UNSERES GUIDES. Ihr Reiseleiter erwartet Sie in der Makrygianni-Straße an der U-Bahnstation Akropolis, die gleich um die Ecke vom Haupteingang der Akropolis liegt. Unser Treffpunkt bietet eine ideale Perspektive, um die umgebende Mauer der Akropolis zu sehen, die von der früheren mykenischen Zivilisation erbaut wurde, und um Ihnen eine Einführung in die Geschichte der Akropolis, ihre Bedeutung und Rolle im Leben des antiken Griechenlands zu geben Überblick über die Tempel und erstaunlichen Denkmäler, die Sie gleich sehen werden.
Eine unserer ersten Stationen ist das antike DIONYSOS-THEATER, das sich immer noch in einem guten Erhaltungszustand befindet. Es wurde im 4. und 5. Jahrhundert v. Chr. in einem natürlichen Amphitheater an den Hängen der Akropolis erbaut und hatte eine beeindruckende Kapazität von 25.000 Personen. Es gilt als das älteste der Welt. Erstaunlich, dass viele der berühmtesten antiken griechischen Stücke hier ihre Uraufführung gehabt haben!
Steigen Sie zum monumentalen Tor (Propylaia) und Eingang zur Akropolis hinauf. Als die Tempel der Akropolis in Sicht kamen, wurden die alten Griechen von einer riesigen verzierten Bronzestatue der Göttin Athene begrüßt. Der Legende nach konnte die Spitze ihres hochgehaltenen Speers von ankommenden Schiffen im Sonnenlicht gesehen werden.
Dieser klassische ionische Tempel wurde um 420 v. Chr. erbaut und ist einer der frühesten Tempel der Akropolis. Er wurde der Göttin Athene geweiht und ist größtenteils restauriert. Er genießt eine herausragende Lage mit Blick auf die Stadt.
Dieser Tempel war der Höhepunkt des „Goldenen Zeitalters“ des klassischen Griechenlands und ein unvergleichliches Meisterwerk der Kunst, Architektur und Technik sowie das Herzstück der antiken griechischen Zeremonien und Gottesdienste in Athen. Wir nehmen uns Zeit für diesen wichtigsten Tempel und geben einen Überblick über seinen Bau, seine Mythologie und seine historische Bedeutung.
Der zweitgrößte Tempel der Akropolis, das Erechtheion, war sowohl Zeus als auch der Göttin Athen gewidmet. Ihr Reiseführer wird einige seiner wunderbaren Mythologie und Hauptaspekte wie seine beeindruckenden Statuen beleuchten, die Sie jetzt im Museum sehen werden.
Dieses atemberaubende Marmoramphitheater wurde im Jahr 161 n. Chr. von Herodes Atticus zum Gedenken an seine Frau erbaut und ist bis heute ein funktionierendes Theater.

This was the best tour EVER! One of the highlights of our week in Greece! We went to the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora. Our tour guide, Michael, was absolutely fantastic. Michael was incredibly knowledgeable-and hilarious!! As a history buff, I love learning the details, but I know history can feel dry for some people. Not with Michael! He brought the stories to life, kept us engaged the entire time, and had us laughing throughout the tour. We had so much fun getting to know him while learning about Greece’s rich history. I’ve been on several private tours throughout Europe, and this was by far my favorite-largely because of Michael. If you’re visiting Athens, do yourself a favor and book this tour with Michael. You won’t be disappointed!

Our tour of the Acropolis was fantastic. This is one of the most important places in human history and it’s a must to visit if you are in Athens. Our guide, Becky, was amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Having a guide and skipping the line took all the stress out of planning and allowed us to totally enjoy this amazing site. Pro tip, it gets hot and crowded in the afternoon. If you can go early go early. We started at 7:30am and it was perfect.
