Traveling friends, you need to be careful when choosing taxi/transfer service in Oslo. Oslo Taxi (the white taxi service) was kind enough to warn us of the “black taxi’s” that clearly overcharge its traveling patrons. We had (3) large pieces of luggage, (1) carry-on and (1) back pack. We were told we needed a Mercedes V van for all the luggage and were promptly billed $500 for the extra space. Come pick up time (driver was late, by the way) no Mercedes V van showed up but some other vehicle that had enough storage. We made it to the airport, thus the 3 stars, but were clearly overcharged for a vehicle grade that did not show up.
