Ihr Erlebnis umfasst eine Brennereiführung und den Zugang zum stimmungsvollen Lagerhaus, wo Sie mehr über den Anteil der Engel und die doppelte Reifung des Whiskys für einen reichhaltigeren, geschmeidigeren Geschmack erfahren können. Dieser Teil Ihres Besuchs wird mithilfe von Audioguides / iPads, die in verschiedenen Sprachen verfügbar sind, selbst geführt. Ihr erfahrener Reiseleiter wird Sie dann zu einer Tour durch die Aberfeldy Distillery und das Lagerhaus mitnehmen, damit Sie mehr über die Magie der Whiskyherstellung erfahren können! Die Tour endet mit einem kleinen Drama in der Whisky Lounge für Erwachsene / Senioren. Autofahrer können ein Mitnehmerpaket anfordern, um zu Hause einen Maime Taylor-Cocktail zuzubereiten. Ihr Ticket beinhaltet nicht den Transport zur / von der Brennerei. Die Brennerei befindet sich am Rande des malerischen Aberfeldy, am Ufer des Flusses Tay, 20 Minuten von der A9 in Highland Perthshire und 90 Minuten von Edinburgh entfernt. Gratis Parkplätze. Zusätzliche Verkostungen und Whisky-Cocktails sind an der Bar erhältlich. Sie können im Shop stöbern und das gesamte Dewar-Portfolio zusammen mit exklusiven Einzelfass-Abfüllungen in limitierter Auflage präsentieren und Ihre eigene Flasche mit einem speziell ausgewählten Fass Aberfeldy Single Malt füllen. Führungen finden den ganzen Tag über statt. Legen Sie Ihren Gutschein bei der Ankunft vor. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die letzte Tour 1 Stunde vor Schließung stattfindet. Wir empfehlen jedoch, 1,5 Stunden für Ihren Besuch einzuplanen. Es gibt ein Café in der Unterkunft, Ihr Ticket enthält jedoch kein Essen - eine Reservierung ist für das Café nicht unbedingt erforderlich. Als traditionelle Arbeitsbrennerei müssen die Besucher während der Brennertour festes Schuhwerk tragen (keine High Heels oder Schuhe mit offenen Zehen erlaubt). Leider sind Hunde (außer Begleithunde) im Besucherzentrum oder in der Brennerei nicht gestattet. Das Besucher- und Kulturerbe-Zentrum ist vollständig zugänglich. Tim was our guide and he was just great, very knowledgeable and good craic.
The royal guide was surely very good for those who speak English fluently. But our visit was supposed to be translated into French. However, the translation consisted of a simple sheet briefly describing the manufacturing process. In short, by the end, those who spoke English knew much more than others! So, the French, do not trust the term translation in French! And I chose this distillery rather than another since the information in French is practically nonexistent, making the visit very long!
Definitely recommend the Whiskey Distillery tour! Fascinating history of Dewar's and whiskey heritage. Our guide Roy was funny, interesting and a total delight! There's an optional whiskey tasting at the end, and it was delicious.
It was nice experience to whiskey distillery plant.
Came today for my dad’s birthday and the experience was great! We arrived early so sat in the cafe part, which is a nice environment and reasonably priced. The tour started with a short film, followed by a look around the museum and then onto the guided tour. We had John who was great! He was friendly and knowledgeable, can’t thank him enough! The experience lasted about an hour and the tasting was great! I had the highball which was delicious! Overall a great experience that I would definitely recommend!
We have long been Dewar's drinkers and looked forward to this tour and ee were not disappointed. Tom was our guide and he walked us through the entire distillery process and we learned so much. After the tour we had a tasting of the Aberfeldy single malt and the Dewar's blend. Very interesting! So glad we did this!

An absolute delight due to the Guide: Craig. He lifted the routine facts into his own engaging stage show which endorsed the quality of the product and its every ingredient and stage of production. This was a wonderful tour and tasting experience. We do not often do distillery tours these days as we've done so many we feel like we have a pretty good understanding of the experience, but as it was our first distillery in Scotland, we thought it would be interesting to see how it differs from distilleries in other countries, and I'm very glad we decided to do so as it was one of the most informative and entertaining distillery tours we have done. There is a bit of a self-guided museum portion that was really interesting and I loved learning about the history of the marketing over the years. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed it very much. The tour was also pretty accessible for me as someone with some mobility issues (I can walk no problem, but have trouble standing for long periods, but there were places I could rest along the way). The price of the tour was reasonable for the length and the amount of tastings we received, so it was a good value. And it was slightly longer than we had expected, but we never got bored as it was a very informative and fun atmosphere. There were only four of us total on our tour, but it would have been fine with more people as well.
