It was wonderful, except that we were dropped off at the wrong spot. And we had issues with being double-booked for our hotel. Then we had the excursion and we were dropped off at the wrong place, after tipping our driver $16. I wad super frustrated because we had to pay for an additional ride.
Excellent food and wine was fine. Saw hippos and enjoyed great views & superb service. Loved everything!
Overall, a great experience. The dinner was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Would have been nice to start the cruise slightly earlier so that there was more time before the light fell. Would recommend.
An absolute must. A well run and slick experience. Staff were fantastic. Food outstanding. The best way to experience this bit of Africa. Loved it!
A definite must do......From the food to drinks to the warm friendly staff.. The sunset was breathtaking.
From hotel pick up to drop off. The staff, the food, the drinks, the scenery, everything was just perfect. If you fancy dinner rather than just snacks on your evening cruise, this is the one for you!
At the end of our first week in Victoria Falls we took this trip (7 of us in total). Pick-up was spot on, the food onboard was amazing as was the service and, of course, the scenery and the sunset. The beef steak was one of the best I've had in a long time and the drinks were of good quality and unlimited. There was a bit of a mix-up about park fees as we had pre-paid these but it was sorted quickly and efficiently. Lovely company to deal with and I'd totally recommend this trip.
We had a party of three booked the cruise and dinner for our last night in Victoria Falls. Pickup and drop off were included in the pricing. However, our driver was 50 minutes late to pick us up. We called the number on the app and it was disconnected. Our texts were not returned. We thought we were stood-up. He finally arrived with another party already on the bus and still had two months parties to pick up at other hotels before meeting the boat. We finally made it. We did enjoy a wonderful sail up the Zambia river and the food and service were excellent. After dinner we all had to pay a “tax” of $12 USD each to the driver. However, he conveniently had no change and kept the remaining $4 USD of the fee. It’s a shame as it was a negative ending to a wonder evening. We reached out to the tour operator without reply or explanation.
Dear William, Thank you for taking time to do this review. The dinner cruise departs at a set time each day, so I'm concerned that you mentioned that you were picked up late. We are aware that sometimes there is confusion, as this booking platform only allows 1 time note for the activity, whereas the transfers from the furthest hotel start +/- 45 minutes before the cruise, and the closest hotels can be less than 10 minutes before the cruise, but we always mail each client to advise them of the accurate pick-up time, I can only assume you were at a hotel close to the jetty, hence the time difference. On the "tax" you mention, this is a national park fee, and it is collectable by law and is clearly noted in the exclusions on this booking platform. However, the issue of the guide not having change is unacceptable. Could you please give me information on which cruise you were on and what date, you said you reached out to the Tour Operator, I can't find your name on our booking list, and we have had no correspondence from you, which leads me to think you may have been on the dinner cruise with another company, but if you give me details. I will certainly follow it up for you./
There were high seas and gale force winds. The weather service had small vessel warnings out for taking on water or capsizes. I called them and they were still going out. Ridiculous to expect people to risk it. We did not go. But I will be taking up a refund with Viator.
Dear Janet, Thank you for this report you made. The cruise takes place on the Zambezi River, and it is impossible to have "high Seas". The boats used for all dinner cruises are large boats for the river, not small vessels. Whilst we are aware that the wind can get strong during a storm, our captains are all highly trained with over 20 years of experience, and they would never go out if there was any real danger. We have never had an incident of any of our boats taking on water or any possibility of capsizing. Our guests' safety and wellbeing is our priority, and we would never put our guests at risk. Typically storms over the Zambezi River blow over very quickly, and we sometimes delay departure for this, but again, I reiterate, we would not sail if there was any danger. I am sorry you missed and amazing experience.
Good food, nice cruise, bad wine. The service is also good, the views are amazing! Good option to spent 3h.
Good Day Nejka, Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you did not enjoy the wine served, all our wines are South African Vinyards, but we will certainly check which brands you had and review them.
