Die Li-Galli-Inseln bilden einen sehr kleinen Archipel zwischen Capri und Positano, einer der eindrucksvollsten Orte nicht nur in Kampanien, sondern im gesamten Mittelmeerraum. Der Archipel besteht aus drei Inseln, Gallo Lungo, La Rotonda und La Castelluccia, und zusammen bilden sie ein äußerst eindrucksvolles Meeresschutzgebiet.
Positano ist vielleicht ein einzigartiger Ort auf der Welt! Es ist ein Juwel spontaner Architektur, das auf einem Felsen mit Blick auf das Meer liegt. Gruppen von bunten Häusern, manchmal mit kubischem Aussehen, sind auf oft sehr steilen Stufen gebaut, die zum Strand hinabsteigen, verbunden durch Gassen und lange Treppen.
Der Legende nach lebten die mythischen Sirenen in seinem Meer und verführten Odysseus mit einem melodischen Lied. Und noch heute kann man sich auf diesem Meer - mit blauen und grünen Reflexen, in tausend verschiedenen Schattierungen entsprechend dem Spiel der Sonne - vorstellen, dass die schönen und überzeugenden Sirenen aus den Wellen auftauchen. Aber vielleicht ist Sorrento eine Sirene, die mit den Düften von Zitronen- und Orangenbäumen, mit Olivenbäumen mit dunklen, gewundenen Stämmen und silbernen Blättern, die sich langsam bewegen, mit einem leisen Geräusch, im Wind, der vom Meer kommt, mit geborenen Felsen, fesselt und verzaubert von der fernen Wut eines Vulkans.
Pompeji ist eine Stadt in Kampanien, die im Golf von Neapel und an den Hängen des Vulkans Vesuv liegt. Es ist eine Stadt mit sehr alten Ursprüngen: Sie entstand als oskische Siedlung, wurde später von den Samniten bewohnt und ab dem ersten Jahrhundert v. Chr. von den Römern erobert. Stadt begraben durch den Ausbruch des Vesuvs. Heute ist sie als die Stadt bekannt, in der sich eine der wichtigsten archäologischen Stätten der Welt befindet. Tatsächlich wurde die römische Stadt nach dem Ausbruch des Vesuvs im Jahr 79 n. Chr. von Lava begraben. Die Lava und die Asche waren eine Art Decke, die es der Stadt ermöglichte, sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte zu erhalten und vor schlechtem Wetter zu schützen; Aus diesem Grund ist die Stadt intakt geblieben und kann heute besichtigt werden. This was a lovely tour of Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. Paolo was our driver and was very professional and affable. He gave us time to allow us to explore the shops in Positano, but was also considerate that we needed to avoid spending too much time so that we did not miss out on seeing Pompeii. This was about an 8 hour excursion and we needed this time - Pompeii is an expansive site, it is important to give yourself time to see this adequately. An additional entrance fee to the archaeological site will need to be paid (about 20 Euros). We had the pleasure of been driven in a comfortable vehicle and a driver that is very knowledgeable of Naples. During the Pompeii tour we were given headphones to listen to an expert tour guide as we followed her through the labyrinth streets and corridors of this historical site. A splendid tour that has sparked our desire to revisit Naples, thanks to Paolo!
