Ab Interlaken: Private Grindelwald- und Lauterbrunnentour

Had a great trip to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. It was private, just the family. Everything was on time as we got picked up from the hotel. We also got great restaurant recommendations.

We had a great experience on our private tour to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. The driver was very punctual and always ready to pick us up promptly whenever we finished our activities. There was a small mix-up at the beginning when we were dropped off at the wrong destination, but after I sent a text message, he called back immediately and quickly returned to take us to the correct location. His responsiveness and professionalism made the situation easy to resolve. Overall, we appreciated the reliable service and would recommend this tour.

It was a great experience. Very calm and nice person who was driving the car. He stopped the car multiple times on the way to grindelwald to take iconic beautiful pictures. Also guided us during the trip.

We had a very enjoyable day exploring Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen with our family group of 6. The VAN was a Mercedes and was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a private experience without the crowds of larger tours. Our driver Ricardo was friendly, professional, and gave us great local recommendations throughout the day. He also shared helpful information about the places we visited and made the whole experience feel relaxed and personalized. What we liked most was the flexibility to enjoy each stop at our own pace while having comfortable transportation between destinations. Pickup and drop-off directly at our accommodation made everything very convenient as well. Overall, a very nice way to explore the Swiss Alps comfortably and privately.

Word of caution: this is NOT a private tour where you expect a guided tour without a big tour group crowd. This is basically like a premium taxi/hire service. The chauffeur will bring you around to places you wish to go, drop you there, and then pick you up when you are done. That's pretty much it!! If you are looking for a premium car hire for 6 hours, this is the one. But if you are looking for a private tour with a knowledgeable guide to drive you along, this is NOT. Some of my experiences I wish to share so you can proactively avoid it. The package says 6 hours, but the night before our trip I received a WhatsApp message with the departure and return schedule which would make the whole trip (including travel) only 4.5 hours. I told them them about the Viator page and then they agreed to the 6 hours!! Our chauffeur Mauricio was very friendly. We were picked up from our Airbnb and driven to Grindelwald. The car was in excellent condition with water bottles inside. We wanted to do some walking in the greenery and then explore Grindelwald town. So he dropped us at a spot from where we could do a walk down the mountain road to town. After about 2 hours he picked us up and drove us to Lauterbrunnen. Dropped us near the waterfalls, gave us an excellent restaurant suggestion, and he went off. After 2 hours he came back, picked us up and dropped us back to our Airbnb in Interlaken. So from pick up to drop it was about 6 hours in total. We didn't really get to explore Grindelwald town as we loved the walk and seeing the scenery. One of the options Mauricio suggested was that we could spend longer than 6 hours, but he will have to go back as he has other bookings later in the day... and we have to take a train from Lauterbrunnen back to Interlaken. When you pay over 500 CHF for a "private tour" the last thing you want to do is to take a train to go back home :D so we declined the proposal. Both Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are awesome places to visit, and we will probably go and stay there a few days next time which will work out cheaper than the cost of this 6 hour chauffeur service.

He went above and beyond to ensure they were comfortable, adjusted the pacing of the tour perfectly to match their needs, and made sure they never felt rushed or strained. Because of his thoughtfulness, my parents were able to fully enjoy every moment of the trip without any stress. Maurizio’s warmth, excellent communication, and helpful nature made this a truly memorable experience for our whole family. Traveling alone can be tough but this tour made it so easy. My driver was super kind and made me feel safe and welcome the whole time. He had deep knowledge of the alps and the views were just insane.

Such a romantic trip to the alps. The driver was super friendly, he knew everything about the local history and made the drive feel very fast. We loved spending the whole day just looking at mountains and taking pictures. Truly a amazing memory

This was the perfect time for us. The entire scenery in Grindelwald were beyond captivating and our driver shared lots of info about the place.
