6:30 Uhr Treffen Sie die Gruppe am vorgesehenen Treffpunkt oder eine Abholung von Ihrem Hotel in der Innenstadt. Dann fahren Sie direkt in die Provinz Kanchanaburi. 10.00 Uhr Erkunden Sie den Kriegsfriedhof Kanchanaburi. Chungkai war eines der Basislager der Burma-Siam-Eisenbahn und enthielt ein Krankenhaus und eine Kirche, die von alliierten Kriegsgefangenen gebaut wurden. Der Kriegsfriedhof ist die ursprüngliche Begräbnisstätte, die von den Gefangenen selbst begonnen wurde, und die Begräbnisse stammen hauptsächlich von Männern, die im Krankenhaus starben. Auf diesem Friedhof befinden sich heute 1.426 Commonwealth- und 313 niederländische Bestattungen des Zweiten Weltkriegs. (Inklusive Reisezeit von Bangkok nach Kanchanburi)
Besuchen Sie das Jeath-Kriegsmuseum. Der Name JEATH leitet sich von den Ländern ab, die von 1942 bis 1945 am Bau der Todesbahn im Zweiten Weltkrieg beteiligt waren: Japan, England, Amerika, Australien, Thailand und Holland. Und wie der Name schon sagt, zeigt dieses kleine Museum Fotos und Illustrationen, die die Lebensbedingungen der Kriegsgefangenen während dieser grausamen Zeit schildern. Einige davon wurden von ehemaligen Kriegsgefangenen gespendet, die überlebt haben.
Im Zweiten Weltkrieg baute Japan die meterspurige Eisenbahnstrecke von Ban Pong, Thailand nach Thanbyuzayat, Birma. Diese ist heute als Todesbahn bekannt. Erleben Sie einen Zug von der River Kwai Brücke zur Kasae Cave.
Ankunft in der Krasae-Höhle, einem historischen Ort, an dem einst Kriegsgefangene rasteten, an der Todesbahn gelegen. Heute ist es ein beliebtes Ziel, an dem Besucher entlang der Eisenbahn schlendern und innehalten können, um dem Buddha-Bild, das in der Höhle verankert ist, Respekt zu zollen.
Genießen Sie ein köstliches Mittagessen im JR Tham Krasae Restaurant. Mit einem Buffet Thai Essen mit einem guten Panoramablick auf den Fluss. Nach dem Mittagessen kehren wir in einem komfortablen, klimatisierten Fahrzeug nach Bangkok zurück. The booking process needs improvement. We were given three different pick up times and asked for unnecessary paperwork eg copy of passport a week before the event However the driver and the tour leader were of exceptional quality. It was a long 11.5 hour day but we all decided that it was one of the best experiences we’ve had as we travel the world

This experience has been a highlight of my travels . Super comfortable with a private car , the guide Jimmy had an incredible amount of knowledge was friendly with a great science of humour. Our driver Pratheep was very experienced and courteous and we felt incredibly safe in our travels . The tour was full of history and beauty and was incredibly touching. I really appreciate every bit of the experience. The waterfalls were a great way to finish with. Do your self a favour and take the opportunity to do this tour.

It was an interesting experience to get out of Bangkok and see some of the Thai countryside. The lunch was pretty good for these kind of excursions with decent food and a beautiful view. Our guide Mam was extremely nice and helpful although we could not understand all she said.
Be prepared for the long hot day. As a planned group of 7, we were surprised to collect another couple. Very knowledgeable guide, with courteous driver. Parts of the road journey aittle hairy, some very crazy driving goes on. The tour it's self very sobering and thought provoking, but glad we did it. Amazing scenery.

Very interesting program of the day. We enjoyed visiting the Kwai River Bridge, the cave and the train tour. Everything was colorful. However, big downside: our guide, whose name is unknown since he did not show up, gave us very little information as much about the course of the day as about the history of this place. Moreover, he did not stop talking loudly all along the way without addressing us.
