I traveled with Safaris by Jon in June 2025. John answered all my questions when I first started inquiring about the itinerary. He answered all emails within a few hours. When traveling he communicated what the schedule was for the day. It was an amazing journey! I felt safe every day even when seeing animals up close!! The Gorilla Trekking was an experience of a lifetime!

We started researching this trip a few years ago after hearing about Safaris by Jon from someone my daughter met on a plane. They came highly recommended so when it came time to book a trip, we decided to go with Safaris by Jon. I was delighted to read the day by day schedule Jon had created for our 13 day trip. Each day was planned out perfectly and highlighted all the things we wanted to do. We never had to worry about how and who and only had to focus on having fun. All travel, places to stay, people to guide us and drive us as well as teach us about the various locations was expertly planned for. I would highly recommend Safaris by Jon if you are interested and going to Uganda/Kenya like we did and sit back and let them do the heavy lifting of planning. You will enjoy your trip 100%.

I feel sad writing this review. I want to be back there in the beautiful country Uganda with the great people. We choose '8 Day Best of Uganda' low budget version. Everything was smooth and great. We enjoyed from start to end. Jon helped us before the tour with every my issue and question. Answers were quick and he even helped us with visas. Our guide Ziwa had 8 years of experience. He knew everything and even more. We were a little bit affraind because of first time in Afrika but after some time with Ziwa the fear dissapeared. We spotted animals together, we ate breakfast, lunch a dinner together, we were family for these super 8 days. Accommodation was on high level. Shared bathrooms were always clean. Dinners were large and tasty. I can reccommend this company with no doubtes.

I went with my mom and we had the best experience ever. We were able to see all kinds of animals, including the gorillas, chimpanzees, leopards and lions. Jon was an amazing guide who always tried to create the best adventures. Uganda is a unique country with an extensive biodiverse fauna which makes it exceptional. We loved to contribute with a small amount to preserve the environment.

We spent a week with Jon exploring Uganda and contemplating the mind-boggling beauty of the country. It was one of the best trips of our lives, a true adventure. And we couldn’t be happier that among other companies, we chose Safaris by Jon, with Jon himself as our guide. The trip was organized perfectly, and the impressions we got exceeded our expectations. Jon was very thoughtful and caring. He made sure that we felt comfortable, arrived on time, and enjoyed a comfortable commute between the locations. A well-planned itinerary allowed us to experience a diverse range of activities and see different sides of Uganda. Furthermore, Jon is a very interesting person to talk to. We asked multiple questions about the past and present of Uganda, and eventually, we enjoyed a sort of mini-course in Ugandan history. We highly recommend Safaris by Jon to everyone who wants to visit Uganda and enjoy a trip with a very professional guide.

I had originally been communicating with another operator and they suddenly disappeared 3months before my trip was supposed to start. John was recommended by a friend and he replied to my inquiry within 24hrs. Within a week, we had a full itinerary planned and agreed to. The trip itself was even better than expected. John was a great guide, explaining the history and culture of Uganda during our long drives between national parks. I would recommend Safaris by Jon to anyone interested in experiencing the amazing country of Uganda. Very professional and organized and Jon is a great guy.

Jon was an amazing guide - with him we got to see the very best of Uganda while also learning more about the local cultures, customs and traditions. The Gorilla trekking at Bwindi was absolutely amazing. It was the standout experience on the trip and we had the privilage of experiencing the Gorillas in their natural habitat. Highly recommended.
