Der Ausflug beginnt mit einem Besuch des alten Fischerdorfes „Taqah“, berühmt für die Herstellung von „getrockneten Sardinen“ und seinen traditionellen und alten „Dhofari-Häusern“. Besuchen Sie das jahrhundertealte „Taqah Castle“, die ehemalige offizielle Residenz des „Wali“ (Gouverneur) der Region, und erhalten Sie einen Einblick in die reiche Geschichte der Region. Weiter geht es zu den antiken Ruinen der einst berühmten Stadt Sumharam (Khor Rohri). Khor Rori war ein wichtiger Hafen an der Küste von Dhofar und eine der wichtigsten Handelsstädte mit Weihrauch, (UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe). Eine malerische Fahrt führt Sie dann zur Erkundung des „immergrünen Wadi Darbat“ für einen entspannten Spaziergang entlang des Wadi-Bettes, umgeben von Herden von Kamelen, Ziegen und Rindern. Westlich von Salalah besuchen Sie den Strand von Mughsail, wo der weiße Sand ist und die Wellen brechen durch die natürlichen gigantischen „Blow Holes“. Sehen Sie die historischen „Weihrauchbäume“, die in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum wachsen. Hinweis: Eintrittsgebühr für Taqa Castle & Sumharam 3 OMR, nicht inbegriffen.

Wadi Darbat ist ein prächtiges, üppig grünes Tal mit einem Fluss, der durch die Mitte fließt. Die umliegenden Hügel haben kleine Höhlen, zu denen man wandern kann. Die antiken Ruinen der einst berühmten Stadt Sumharam (Khor Rohri). Die Stadt war der östlichste Außenposten des Königreichs Hadramawt an der alten Weihrauchroute zwischen dem Mittelmeer, dem Persischen Golf und Indien. Khor Rori war ein wichtiger Hafen an der Küste von Dhofar und eine der wichtigsten Handelsstädte mit Weihrauch, von der angenommen wird, dass sie Drehscheibe und Hafen für die Verschiffung von Weihrauch (UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe) war.
Die im 19. Jahrhundert erbaute Burg Taqah wurde bis 1970 als Büro und Wohnsitz des Wali von Taqah genutzt
AL Mughsail, wo der weiße Sand das tiefe Blau des Ozeans berührt und bei Flut, wo Wellen durch die natürlichen titanischen „Blow Holes“ brechen, am anderen Ende des „Rocky Beach“ mit einem höhlenartigen Eingang. Der Strand von Al Mughsail ist weiß Sandstrand ca. 5 km lang. Blowholes sind Springbrunnen in der Nähe des Mughsail-Gebiets
Sehen Sie die historischen „Weihrauchbäume“, die in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum tief unten in den Tälern wachsen und die trockene und zerklüftete Landschaft prägen. I had an absolutely fantastic time on the West and East Salalah tour with Ahmed. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable (great tips how to correctly prepare camel meat), but he also shared fascinating stories that you won’t find in any guidebook. Ahmed was reassuring and attentive, which was very important to me as a solo female traveller. If you are planning a trip, do yourself a favor and book with Glory Tours, you will love it!
I really enjoyed my time with the tour guide. They were welcoming, generous, and kind. I learned about local culture and visited many of the area’s top attractions, including: Full day — east of Salalah: Taqah Beach, Taqah Plateau, the anti-gravity site, Ayn Ashir (spring water), baobab trees, Jebel Samhan Plateau, and Wadi Darbat. Full day — west of Salalah: Mughsail Blowholes, frankincense trees, Fazqyah Beach, flamingos, and Aftalkat. I felt safe and well looked after. I will definitely travel with this tour organization again.
Swimming in a beach just for us with fine white sand is priceless khalid our guide took us to see all the beaches then asked us to choose and put a parasol with snacks available to us. Always attentive to every need, very kind and a great guide took us to see the quarries with gaisers and dromedaries.
