5 Tage Uyuni Salt Flats mit Guide auf Englisch ab La Paz

Beschreibung
Willkommen in Bolivien.

Super happy! We loved every place, exceptional, the hotels we loved, the guide Álvaro super attentive and always with all the willingness to make our trip pleasant and pleasant, the driver Wilber very responsible always, took us on time and always kept an eye on us. I thank you both, you tried hard for logistics and be on time, we leave very happy and we would contract with the same agency again!! Oh and the amazing food they served us specially. Super recommended!!
Tour was bit of a shambles. The booking agency, Joker Expeditions, basically just provided La Paz transport and a place to shower and store luggage; transport to/from Uyuni and the actual tour, both administered by different agencies. However, I've no complaints about Joker nor the bus company. The issue was with the subcontracted tour company (Salty Desert). After initially claiming we would not see the reflective section of the salt flats, the guides tried to dissuade complaints by stating it was too crowded and too windy to see reflections (both proved inaccurate). The guide eventually relented, stating we would not have time for Incahuasi Island, leading to a vote - the group chose the reflective area. The guide then proceeded to take us to both places, but then asked to be compensated with additional "petrol money" the next day. The itinerary for the first and second days were incredible and definitely worth seeing, although dietary requirements were disregarded for both dinners. However, the third day was effectively cancelled for most of the group when one of the vehicles broke down, leaving us waiting hours for a replacement vehicle and thus insufficient time. The sole English-speaking guide evaded questions regarding the plan, leaving the passengers with scheduled buses in my van concerned about what would happen upon our return as the guide had given us a timeframe which would have arrived in Uyuni after the scheduled departure times. Eventually I was able to get the guide to explain we were taking a shortcut to ensure return on time, but this should have been communicated to the group directly. The driver in our van, Jesus, was excellent - even without speaking English he made an effort to engage with our van and made the most out of a truncated last day. Overall, the region is beautiful and definitely worth seeing, however I would discourage going with Salty Desert, and thus also Joker Expeditions unless they were to change to a better tour partner.
Well organized tour, well coordinated. The guide Daniel was excellent. The salar lodging was in simple and clean establishments.
The tour itself is well organised but way too overpriced if you book it from Viator/Joker expedition. But i have to give credit to Joker Expedition for the planning. You get the same experience if you book the tour in person from the tour operator (Salty Dessert) in Uyuni and book the night bus from La Paz yourself. Jonn (Salty Dessert) is the best guide and went extra mile so we have the best tour of Uyuni and the places around. Highly recommend booking with them directly and giving the guide a nice tip.
The company does not actually run the tour they use a third party company , I found that company to be unorganised and the guide quite unprofessional. You spend a lot of the 3 days in the 4x4 vehicle travelling and it really is not comfortable, we had 7 people in the vehicle and the days when we had to sit in the fold up seats at the very back was so uncomfortable for two adult males. Other company’s we saw had less people in their vehicles and looked like it would be a lot more comfortable and enjoyable. The tour is quite expensive and the accommodation you stay at seems to be the cheapest option every night , one place we stayed had no shower and only had electricity and running water from 7pm-9pm so couldn’t even flush the toilet. There seemed to be nicer options to stay at which I thought with the price of the tour could of been included. It’s a shame because the places you see along the tour are amazing , but I would not recommend this company or the third party company they use for the tour called salty desert , there would be better tours available for this price range.
Everything is very well organised. The bus from la paz to uyuni is very nice, and when we arrived there we where brought to a hotel where we could take a shower and have a good breakfast. It was an amazing tour. We have seen so many different types of nature. We slept in really nice places and the food was also good. After the tour we where taken to the hotel again where we could clean up again. I would really recommend this trip! It was awesome!
Dear Ben & Nadine: Thank you for organizing your trip to the Uyuni salt flat with our company, it is very pleasant to know that we meet your expectations in the organization of this service. From the heart we wish you a happy trip.
The trip was well organized and the guide as well as the drivers were running the extra mile to make the experience great. Would definitely raccomand!
I thought that I would be safe because the tour with JOKER EXPEDITION was more expensive than other tour companies but I had the issues with this company. Also, in my group, there were people from the other companies, and they paid less with the same service. Please do not book the tours with the " JOKER EXPEDITION" company. The organizer was unreliable. For example, he forgot to pick me up from the bus station in Uyuni, and I had to wait 30 mins but he didn't apologize. Also, the tour was different from the description. The organizer and the guide both lied to me. There are many local tour companies that are cheaper than the " JOKER EXPEDITION" company. You will receive the same service, and won't need to pay 25% of commission to Viator. Here are my issues: 1. They were supposed to take me to the Inca island and to the Salar to head to Galaxy Cave on day 2, and to pools where the land seems to boil red, gray and scarlet mud but they didn't take us. Also, they didn't take me to the desert and Salar de Chalviri on day 4. I didn't see the cactus at all during the tour. 2. Bottled water and snacks were included in this tour but the guide was not informed by the tour company. I didn't get any snacks until day 3, even though I made a complaint. The guide said that he didn't know about it. Later, the organizer (Josef) told me that he told the guide that my tour included water and snacks. 3. They were supposed to book the bus with Todo Turismo company but they booked with the cheaper company (Titicaca), which the service was very poor. 4. They forgot to pick me up from the bus station but no apologize. 5. The car broke down multiple times in the middle of the desert.
