4 Tage Masai Mara Camping Safari

As a long-time loyal customer, since 1990, of BEST Camping, visited beautiful Kenya again this year and made a 4-day safari to the Masai-Mara. Natural weather with Best Camping. As before, the weather was fantastic. Everything was arranged to perfection by Imraan and his team. The big 5 was spotted by us and we enjoyed the rest of the beautiful flora and fauna, thanks to our expert driver Abdallah. The reception in the camp has been incredibly welcoming all these years. The camp in the Masai-Mara is fully equipped. The tents are comfortably furnished with beds and have a private shower and toilet room. Compared to our first safaris in the 90’s a very big advance! (Of course we are also getting a year older) The wet and dry in the camp tasted fantastic every time! In short, if you are considering travelling to Kenya, I say DO! And definitely go for BEST Camping. The name says it all. BEST Camping is the BEST! P.s. also for trips etc. other than safari, Imraan with all his expertise is always ready to help you!

As the name suggest best camping tours & Safari, we had an above and beyond the best Safari and trip of our life. What a memorable experience, thank you best camping team, Imraan, Shafna, and our guide Abdullah for creating such beautiful memories. Special mention to Abdullah, our guide who was with us for the entire journey. He was one of the senior most team members and extremely knowledgeable about the forest. The animals, The birds, their habitat having an extremely sharp eye to spot animals at the remotest part of the forest. We have no words to express our gratitude to the entire team for customising our holiday and celebrating my birthday beyond our expectations, etched in our memory forever. We started our journey with the boat ride at Lake Navasha and the walking Safari with the animals at Crescent Island. The experience was outstanding with a personal guide, and showing us the different birds and animals and the giraffe right next to us.On arriving at our hotel,The Simba lodge we were blown away to see the beautiful zebra‘s water buck And several other animals roaming around freely in the lodge Gardens in their own environment. We also got lucky with the hippos at the lake. Thereafter, we spent 4 Beautiful nights at the Fig Tree camp inside Masai Mara and this was a life changing experience for us. The camp itself is located on the talek river and was hippos paradise with about 35 to 40 resident hippos and crocodiles, we had taken the lake facing luxury tents, and it was beautiful to sleep with the sounds of a hippo at night, amidst nature.Best part,no WiFi other than the reception area!!👌 Each day our Safari was exciting and adventurous beyond expectations. One day, we got to see three cheetah’s kill two animals at the same time and got them feasting on their trophy. Another experience the pride of 14 Lions and getting to see the male lions up close and personal. we also got to see civil species of beautiful birds. Giraffes ,Elephants zebra’s war dogs buffaloes all in all the big five, except the elusive rhino, which is hard to spot now.each day a new experience, falling short of words!! What best camping and the fig tree camp planned for my birthday cannot be expressed in words. We started with a beautiful balloon ride over the Mara, followed by private bush, breakfast and the most melodious birthday singing by the Hotel staff, bringing in the cake for me. I will never forget this experience. One important point for all vegetarian and vegan people like me the whole trip, the food was extremely delicious and an integral part of the Safari for a moment. I never had any problems for vegetarian food. It was in abundance and super delicious. As I sum up my long review, I would only say this that I would love to go back to Kenya and do it only with best camping tours & Safaris WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEST CAMPING TOURS & SAFARIS FOR YOUR NEXT TRAVEL TO KENYA!!

Every year we use Best Camping tours. I think I have used Imraan to organise my safaris over 10 times now. This trip was fantastic. Meru National Park, Buffalo Springs and Masai Mara. Expertly planned. Saw so many animals including Lions in all three parks. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a 4N/5D experience on the Mara. First up, we planned this in 2020, right before COVID. Imraan and his team have stayed in contact with us, through the pandemic and held onto our credits for 4 years. Beyond that, they waited for us at the airport until nearly 2am when we were delayed to help us get through immigration and to our hotel that night. The integrity of this organisation is really substantial. Our guide, Abdullah was knowledgeable, professional and extremely friendly. He knew the name of every moving critter and every plant that we passed. He educated us on the local people, places, customs and industries. When it came to finding animals, Abdullah knew their usual places and expertly swapped intelligence with other guides to locate the ‘big ones’. Camp Know what you’re getting. Camp is basic so think exposed timber frames, corrugated iron and canvas tents. Each tent has its own ensuite with flushing toilets and showers with hot water which is sourced from the river... But you’re camping in the bush so what did you expect? It is definitely comfortable, you will have a bed with a mattress, three very filling hot meals a day and very accomodating staff. We were alone in the camp and waited on hand and foot by Joseph and Francis. Meals included spaghetti ‘bolognaise’- the African version, fried fish, curry and chicken with sautéed cabbage. My veggie wife was really well catered for and had her own option each night. Overall it’s great, by the river and you can hear the animals at night. But if you’re expecting a marble lined lodge, it’s not that. We saw all of the big five on this trip, and I’ll leave the photos below. It was punctuated by a lion kill, a leopard and multiple cheetahs with their cubs, up close. Absolutely amazing and really can’t recommend this company strongly enough. Everything we asked for and more.

I have been on Safari 5 times with Best Camping and everything was always perfectly organized. They are very friendly, reliable and always put the guests wishes first. Their drivers are very friendly and we also felt extremely safe with a small child. The accommodation they organized were always great.

Incredible experience with professional team ,I can’t thank them enough for what they did for us .it could be hospitality or warm welcoming I don’t know what I should name it .

The trip was incredible. We went for our honeymoon and it was the trip of a lifetime. Best Camping was truly fantastic and Imraan was so incredibly helpful. We went to Ngorongoro and the Sarengeti. Everything was organized with tremendous care and thought. We would go again in a heartbeat.

Every day was indescribably beautiful. Lion and elephant families, buffalo, cheetahs, hippos, thanks to an experienced driver and scout… you can't get much better than that.
