Excellent arrangements and good travel plan. They were very accommodating and good service
A big thank you to Christine and Magdalene who organized our Safari in an optimal way. All movements (hotel, airport, pickup point, ...) were coordinated very well and always on time. The Safari was beautiful and our guide Stanley was great at showing us 4 of the 5 big five in just a day and a half. Small improvement: before the safari it would be nice to receive more information about the various daily activities, movements and stops. Thanks again for the wonderful experience!!! Best regards Ali&Ste
We just finished a 3 day fly in safari with a stay a Alama Camp Mara. Our guides were great and the service at Alama was good. We did have a few negative issues come up. On night one, my wife and I ate the same meal and were sick the remaining time of our stay. Our daughter had something different and was fine. On day 2, when we were doing our full day safari drive, the camp had no water for us to take with. We got our driver to take us to the nearest place to buy some. On our flight back to Nairobi, there apparently was a change in our flights yet no one from Bigmac informed us. We got to the airport an hour prior but come time to go, our guides said it was changed. They were only given the tail number of the the aircraft and what type it was. No departure time was given. After 45 minutes past our scheduled flight and having seen numerous planes come and go, we started reaching out to Magdalene via phone and WhatsApp as we had our flight back to the USA that afternoon to catch. We were never contacted back. Our guides were also unable to contact anyone to get more info as to when we would be flying out. Our plane did show up over an hour after we were suppose to have left. So communications wise, Bigmac gets an unsatisfactory review.
We are writing to express our sincere gratitude for the incredible Kenya safari you organised for me and my family from 23rd July 2025 to 25th July 2025. The trip was a journey of a lifetime for our children and grandchildren. I wish to commend Magdalena of Bigmac Safari, and the extraordinary teams service at Alama Camp, Masai Mara. Magdalena attention to detail in arranging the logistics from Nairobi to Masai Mara and return to Nairobi was amazing and smooth. Bigmac Safaris outstanding planning skills, abilities in creating the trip for the 13 of us to enjoy the safari and our stay at Masai Mara to be an unforgettable experience. The Alama guides and drivers made it a private and personal for us to see the wildlife, particularly the lions, cheetah, leopard, wilder beast, zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and many more. Alama camp hospitality and staff were excellent, the 5star service, comfortable accommodation and tasty food. The staff ensured our stay exceeded our expectations was superb and staff attentive. The diversity of Kenya landscapes and wildlife exceeded our expectations. Experiencing the vast plains of Masai Mara. This was truly magical and unforgettable journey including the train journey on Kenya railways premium class to Mombasa through the National Park, leaving an incredible impression on us. Magdalena was always on hand to assist us for our full duration of 10 days in Kenya and helped us when we ran into difficulties arranging travel between Nairobi and Mombasa. We will not hesitate to recommend both Kenya as a destination and your services to everyone we know. We look forward to planning another adventure with you in the future.
Our adventure with Bigmac Africa Safaris in Masai Mara was amazing and one we will treasure for the rest of our lives! Ben, our guide and driver, was incredible! In our 3 days at Masai Mara, we saw many lions, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, topi, eland, buffalo, and baboons. We also saw cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, jackals, hippos, crocodiles, ostriches, and even had a rare sighting of a serval cat hunting. Going into our last day, we had yet to see a leopard and a rhino and joked with our guide Ben that taking us to see these two was his job for the day. Unbelievably, we were able to spot a leopard hanging out in a tree that morning. We had all but given up on seeing a rhino when Ben told us to sit down and we rushed ahead unsure of what the rush was all about. We then came to an open field of grass where a rhino was peacefully grazing. I was surprised and pleased at how many animals are in Masai Mara. In our 3-day journey, there was never a dull moment and Ben shared his knowledge of the animals in the park and the local culture. He was very respectful to the animals and their space. I highly recommend Ben and Bigmac Africa Safaris.
Excellent safari with this Tour Operator. I took 4 days - 3 nights in Masai Mara National Reserve. Everything went on smoothly. We could do what we expected. Except for rhinos, we could see all the other big animals. Don't forget that you are there for them... They are not there for You. In 2-3 days, you will probably be happy with the observation of the wildlife. We were upgraded in terms of accommodation. Alama Camp Mara was just amazing. Ben is a calm and excellent driver. Very knowledgeable too.
What an incredible way to see and experience the natural beauty of Kenya! Our tour was smooth and relaxing all the way through. In one day on a private tour we saw over 30 unique animal species. Our driver and tour guide Ben was highly experienced, very generous with his knowledge and time. Camp Alama was very hospitable and all food was prepared fresh and did not cause stomach issues for a westerner. This is the African safari trip you are searching for!!
Bigmac Africa Safaris is one of the best safari company in Kenya. We went to Kenya from Canada and booked everything before going. Magdalene, who is the main contact person of the company is super helpful and responds to queries very fast. We talked to her on WhatssApp from Canada and booked everything. In Nairobi she was very prompt to arrange everything for us. We got the Alama Mara camp package in Maasai Mara and it was out-of-this-world experience. I have written a separate review of Alama Mara so I will not repeat it here. But the overall experience dealing with Bigmac was simply wonderful. I highly recommend anyone willing to travel to Nairobi and taking any safarai tour to contact Magdalene. She is a wonderful person.
Would defenitely book again. We recommend this agency. Everything went super smoothly. Super informative! They took great care of us from the pickup untill the end. They organize evrything for you so you don't have to worry about a thing. Thank you BigmacAfrica Safari for taking care of us!
Great Safari! Our highlight was that We saw a cheetah family with a fresh wildebeest kill! It was amazing to see them all together having a meal! Our guide Ben was absolutely fantastic. He knew exactly where to take us to see what we wanted to see. A very skilled driver to maneuver, the rough pot holed roads. We would like our fellow travelers to know that this is a great trip however it takes 6 to 7 hours to get to Maasai Mara right now. We booked ourselves a little too tight. Just be prepared for the time it takes and the rough road conditions. It was definitely worth it, but we were not prepared for the road or the time it took to get there. We loved the Mara Sopa Lodge that was chosen for us. I would stay there again. Enjoyed the swimming pool and the food. I was nervous about purchasing a trip like this online but The Viator team was very good about communicating with us prior to our Safari. Be sure to have WhatsApp on your phone.
