Wir beginnen unsere Reise im majestätischen Klosterneuburg, einem Ort von tiefer spiritueller und historischer Bedeutung. Der Schatz : Wir besuchen die kaiserliche Schatzkammer, um den "erzherzoglichen Hut" zu sehen. Es ist nicht nur eine Krone, es ist ein Symbol der Identität der Region. Atmosphäre : Wenn Sie durch diese 900 Jahre alten Hallen gehen, werden Sie die Verbindung zwischen den herrschenden Habsburgern und den Mönchen spüren, die diesen Ort (und seinen Wein!) seit Jahrhunderten bewachen.
Zwischen Abtei und Weinbergen genießen wir eine entspannte Fahrt durch die niederösterreichische Landschaft. Dies ist die perfekte Zeit, um sich zurückzulehnen und die Landschaft vorbeirollen zu lassen. Während Ihr Privatfahrer navigiert, erzählt Ihr Fortgeschrittener faszinierende Geschichten über die Geschichte der Donau oder lässt Sie einfach die Ruhe vor unserem nächsten Abenteuer genießen.
Wenn wir in Dürnstein, der "Perle der Wachau", ankommen, werden Sie verstehen, warum Dichter und Maler diesen Ort lieben. The Walk : Wir schlendern durch die gepflasterten Straßen, gefüllt mit dem Duft von Aprikosen und dem Charme alter Häuser. The Legend : Wenn Sie die Ruinen betrachten, erzählt Ihr Fortgeschrittener die romantische und dramatische Geschichte von Richard Löwenherz. Es ist ein perfekter Ort für unvergessliche Fotos. Mittagspause : Dieses charmante Dorf ist auch der ideale Ort zum Innehalten. Wir empfehlen Ihnen eine gemütliche traditionelle Taverne oder ein Restaurant mit Flussblick, wo Sie köstliche lokale Gerichte in entspannter Atmosphäre genießen können. (Mittagskosten nicht inbegriffen).
Das ist oft der Lieblingsteil des Tages. Wir besuchen ein lokales Familienweingut, eingebettet zwischen den Reben. Die Erfahrung : Hier gibt es keinen Ansturm. Wir setzen uns hin, um den knackigen Grünen Veltliner und eleganten Riesling zu probieren. Sie treffen die Menschen, die den Wein herstellen, hören ihre Geschichten und genießen die echte österreichische Gastfreundschaft, die Sie in großen Produktionshallen nicht finden.
Das große Finale bildet Stift Melk. Auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf das Tal zu stehen, ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. In Melk erkunden wir die Innenhöfe der Abtei und besuchen die prächtige Abteikirche – beide frei zugänglich – während Ihr Fortgeschrittener die 900-jährige Geschichte der Abtei lebendig macht. Eintrittskarten für die inneren Prunkräume und Bibliothek sind nicht inbegriffen, können aber auf Anfrage arrangiert werden. Wir bewundern die atemberaubende Barockarchitektur und besuchen die Kirche, die mit Gold und Licht glänzt. Anstatt durch Museen zu hetzen, nehmen wir uns Zeit, die Pracht der Innenhöfe und den Panoramablick zu absorbieren und die Schönheit des Tages zu reflektieren.
Während wir zurückfahren, können Sie die Augen schließen und sich entspannen und den Geschmack von Wein und die Erinnerungen an einen schönen Tag mit sich führen. Abendliche Fahrt zurück nach Wien (ca. 1 Std.) — Ausruhen und die Aussicht genießen; Hotelrückgabe.

My mother and I were visiting Austria from Canada for my birthday. Jenny is without a doubt the best tour guide we have ever had. Jenny is not an average tour guide - she holds a Master’s degree, and her depth of knowledge of Austrian culture, architecture, history, and food and wine truly showed. She was incredibly knowledgeable, and able to answer every question we asked, whether it was about the Wachau Valley, Austrian history, wine, the Habsburgs, or something completely unrelated to the day’s itinerary. Jenny brought along an iPad filled with photos and other visual aids that made everything she explained easier to understand. It was obvious how much preparation and care she puts into every tour. Jenny is an exceptional storyteller. She has a gift for introducing the history behind an object or location before we saw it, so when we encountered it later, it felt like the culmination of the story rather than just another artifact or exhibit. We were on a tight schedule because I needed to return to Vienna in the evening, and Jenny seamlessly tailored the day around our interests while making sure we still had time to browse local shops, enjoy the castles and wineries, and we never felt rushed. Every stop was perfectly paced, thoughtful, and engaging. Beyond her incredible knowledge, Jenny is warm, personable, professional and it was genuinely lovely to spend the day with her. At several points throughout the tour it felt like we were just spending the day with our (brilliant and educated) friend. Jenny truly set the standard for what an exceptional guide should be. The entire experience was flawless from start to finish. We wouldn’t change a thing and would recommend Jenny for any tour in the region without hesitation. This tour was wonderful. The tour guide Jenny was fun, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. We visited ancient and interesting castles and towns, had a lovely lunch, and learned quite a bit about wine making. Beautiful scenery and buildings. Thorough and interesting history. This was an absolutely wonderful day. I have wanted to visit the Wachau Valley for several years and just couldn't come up with the best way to do so. Our guide Jenny was very pleasant and incredibly knowledgeable and we learned so much about the places that we visited, the history of the area and the wines we tasted. She recommended a charming family owned restaurant in Durnstein where the food was hot and delicious on a day with a little rain. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

We were staying in Vienna but badly wanted to visit the Wachau Valley/Danube River, and Melk Abbey. This tour allowed us to do all of this and more! We even stopped at a local winery and ate lunch with the owner and visited his cellar. Jenny was both knowledgeable and personable and presented the information in an enjoyable manner. The day was organized and flexible enough to ensure our comfort snd enjoyment. My husband who tends to not enjoy tours, said it was the highlight of his trip! Highly recommend Jenny and this fantastic experience!

Top notch private tour of the Danube wine country with great stops at castles and vineyards. Convenient pick up and return to hotel. Great way to get out of Vienna and see the countryside. Knowledgeable tour guide and her husband (our driver) - highly recommend

We had a wonderful time getting out of Vienna and see the area along the Danube. We spent the day with Cozy in a private tour - driver, guide, and us. PIckup and dropoff at our hotel was perfect. The drive was comfortable as well as informative. We received a lesson on the history of the area accompanied by maps and pictures. We drove out the Melk. An amazing monastary/castle. Our guide supplemented the Kelb tour guide with extra details and background. Then drove on to Durnstein. We walked the streets accompanied by our guide again getting a great review of the history of the town. Next was lunch and wine tasting - including a tour of the wine cellar. Loved the food and the variety of wines. Finally we stopped at a castle/cathedral just outside Vienna. it was dark by then and we had the whole area to ourselves. It was a eerie mysterious way to end the day - bringing the history of the area to life. I would recommend using Cozy and look into other tours they conduct. Thanks!
