a magical journey. our guide Fabricio the best, his knowledge, gentleness, energy, disposition, the best. all this made an unforgettable experience
The company issued us tickets for a baby with no seat and we only found out when about to board the bus and they didn't inform us that a car would be at the train station to meet us on the way home and we just stood without a ticket not knowing how to get back. We were on our way to purchase a ticket when we came across a guy with our name on a board.
Luis and Hugo were amazing, no complaints. Luis was super friendly and was honestly very intelligent. Any questions that anybody asked, he knew. I would ask random questions about history or Peru thinking he wouldn’t know a lot about it, but he knew it with a story behind it. I would recommend this trip for sure.
Luis was very fun and he explained things very well! He made the trip more interesting and fun. I learned a lot in one day! As well as super friendly
Gary was an amazing guide and taught us everything in great detail and very friendly. Thank you so much for everything Gary and I recommend everyone to go with him
Gary has a lot of experience example: he advised us to wait a little bit before going to Machu Picchu so that we got less rain (it’s rain season). It worked: we had NO rain and got great pictures.
Machu Picchu is great. Guide is only ok, but his videography is good. App not clear how to book salt mine side trip and missed. The biggest disappointment is the return ride to the hotel. Driver took the whole gang to the wrong address about 12 min. away. One tourist has to jump ship and order a taxi. I hope he made it to the airport on time. Driver did not announce his intentions of how to drop people off. He was extremely rude and said no when I just needed to jump into the hotel for another tourist to do a number 2. Why, he had to pick up his wife around the corner! After a long while, finally found my hotel. Totally destroyed the great trip to just a trip!
This tour was incredible, high recommend! Gary was informative, professional, prompt, and overall made the entire experience, it would not have been the same without him, everything went off without a hitch, and luckily it did not rain and we had a full view of the mountains, Gary also knew all of the photo ops opportunity and took incredible videos of us, highly recommend!
Sad to say that this was the most disappointing tour I have ever booked. Despite asking well in advance for packing suggestions - I was unprepared and had to buy a last minute small backpack and rain coat. I was initially told I could bring a backpack and carryon, however, 2 days prior to the tour (once I was already in Peru), I was informed I could only bring a small backpack due to train restrictions. I was never informed to pack a raincoat and it poured rain. I heard other tour groups who had been recommended to bring a raincoat. Next, the worst part. I was told when I booked that circuit 3 was the only available ticket, but upon arrival was given a circuit 1 ticket- which is limited to the “good view” for taking photos! When I contacted Freddi about this, he said he made a typo and meant to say circuit 1 was available. Huge fail and did nothing to make up for this massive misfortune!!!! To top it all off, our guide, although very nice, told us NOTHING about Machu Picchu!!!! I know all about his life, the stray dogs around Peru, where he has traveled, some funny stories about his past clients, etc but came out knowing NOTHING about Machu Picchu. I have informed Freddi/the tour company and have received no response, no concern, no apology- nothing. There are clearly some much much better options out there for this tour. Steer clear of this one.
Hi Holly, I hope to say thank you for your feedback but unfortunatelly your feedback is not precise at all. Regarding your main concerns let me try to explain the secuence: About suitcase, Fort he overnight people just carry a small back pack or carryon suitcase, they don´t carry 23kg suitcase as it not necessary for one day tour. By the way this recomendation is poste don the same website of tripadvisor. As you know 23kg suitcases are restrictec even on planes and need top ay extra extra for transportation. About raincoat, Again this suggestion is also on the website and in the orientation that we provide we advise that raincpat is necessary as this time of the year we are in rainy season. Even the previous night my guide advised you also since you were complaining he offered you a plastic poncho but you did not take it. Regarding Machupicchu tickets, I personally informed you about and explained about each circuit and during our conversation you did not make a specific request. The way how we assign tickets is according availability at the momento of your reservation. First choice circuit 2 (full experience) but this ticket must be booked even 3 months in advance. Once this one is sold out we inform about the other alternatives and we assign circuit 1 as most people would like to take this circuit. The other way how we assign tickets is when people in writen make the request. About tour guide, our team are very prepared, I am sorry but the same tour guide that we asisgn to you same day already got 6 poeple 5* reviews from the same group tghat traveled with you same day and same circuit. Definetely there are some points that we need to keep improving to deliver Good services as we do in general. Our team does not deserve your negative feedback as we were informative with you via whatsapp mosto f the time responding all your questions, we can accept that we encourage to suggest aboit small suitcase but it cant be a major compain for that, regarding Machupicchu ticket, I explained you but there is no specific request from your site I can not accepty is my fault at all as no specific request. BUT our procedures to book machupicchu tickets is according availability and to avoid this kind of compalin we inform before finalize reservation, for that reason basicaly no complain about type of tickets. We feel bad that you couldnt enjoy at all the the tour this time but some calm and possitive attitude could have helped. Best regards Fred
Our tour guide Gary Nelson gave us a six-star review, he took a few of our friends along the way to enjoy each Attraction, and he heard an explanation of cultural history, so that people could feel the greatness and glory of the Inca civilization, while also experiencing the beauty of this land. The arrangement of the whole trip is very satisfactory
