Ihr Schiff legt in Alexandria an, aber die Pyramiden sind in Kairo, etwa 2,5 Stunden landeinwärts. Diese Übernachtungstour gibt Ihnen zwei unbeschwerte Tage in der Hauptstadt statt eines anstrengenden Dashs. Tag eins bringt Sie zum Gizeh-Plateau mit der Großen Pyramide von Khufu, der Sphinx und dem Taltempel, dann zum Ägyptischen Museum mit einer Übernachtung in einem Kairoer Hotel. Am zweiten Tag geht es durch das islamische Kairo : die Zitadelle von Saladin, die Alabaster-Moschee von Muhammad Ali und die Gassen der Altstadt, bevor Sie zurück zu Ihrem Schiff fahren. Ihr privater Fortgeschrittener und Fahrer gestalten beide Tage um Ihre Segelzeit. Zwei Tage, eine Nacht, und Echtzeit an jedem Standort, anstatt ein Rennen gegen die Uhr. Tag 1 fährt landeinwärts zum Gizeh-Plateau, wo Sie am Fuße der Großen Pyramide von Khufu stehen und mit Ihrem Ägyptologen alle drei Pyramiden besichtigen.
Neben den Pyramiden trifft man auf die Große Sphinx, den aus einem einzigen Kalksteingrat geschnitzten Wächter mit Löwenkörper, mit Zeit am Taltempel.
Zum Abschluss des ersten Tages besuchen Sie das Ägyptische Museum auf dem Tahrir-Platz mit seinen Sälen mit pharaonischen Schätzen, bevor Sie in Kairo übernachten.
Tag 2 steigt zur Zitadelle von Saladin auf, der mittelalterlichen Festung, die Kairo mit weitem Blick über die Altstadt krönt.
Im Inneren der Zitadelle betreten Sie die Alabaster-Moschee Muhammad Alis, deren große Kuppeln und Zwillingsminarette zu den markantesten Wahrzeichen Kairos gehören, bevor Sie zurück zu Ihrem Schiff fahren.

Best tour ever. Saw everything I wanted to see. The pyramids, Sphinx, the Egyptian museum, the citadel, Mohammed Ali mosque. Spent the night at the luxurious Barcela Cairo Pyramids hotel. Our guide aka Ahmet Eygpt Guide took us to the famous Koshari Abou Tarek restaurant for the best koshari in Egypt. All on all a great experience ca. Ot thank Ahmet and Egypt Day Tours enough. ( my wife insists Ahmet looks like John Belushi.)

Our guide and driver were both amazing! Driving downtown Cairo can be scary, lol. But our driver maneuvered it like a pro. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative along the way and at every stop. He even took us to a couple places not listed that he thought might interest us. So glad we did this private tour, I can't imagine having done Cairo with a large bus tour from the cruise ship.

We had such an amazing time exploring Egypt! The bus had excellent air conditioning. Our guide Eslam was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Best to go in October or during there winter, it was a high of 91 degrees which was very tolerable for the desert! Such an incredible experience and also a great photographer. Definitely book with him!

Incredible communication booking the tour from Alexandria cruise doc. Ahmed answered every question listened to what we wanted to do and see. He put together an incredible itinerary. It was a bucket list trip. Unfortunately, Celebrity Cruise Line cancelled the stop. Ahmed promptly initiated a refund. I am sure that we will book a tour with Egypt Day Tours in the future.
