After a bit of a wait we were transited to the bus terminal for the 1+ hr journey to Copacabana where we caught a ferry and then a short bus ride to the edge of Lake Titicaca. It is much bigger than we expected. We then went by speed boat to the largest island where we hiked up approx 200 vertical metres to our hotel. Along the way our friendly and helpful guide Quancarlo explained the habitat, wildlife and buildings/monuments. The hotel was good. After dinner Quancarlo escorted us up to the summit to watch the sunset. The following day we hiked across the island to see an Incan temple. We then returned to Copacabana by speed boat and had free time in the town (celebrating a religious event). The weather was fantastic (no junpers or gloves were needed until the morning as there is no heating in the room). Do not expect to stay in a traditional hut - that's done in Puno.
We had a wonderful time. The Isla del Sol is beautiful! We had a good hike from the port to the highest point on the island where we had breathtaking views of Lake Titicaca. The hotel was rustic but comfortable. It gets cold at night so be sure to bring warm clothes. Our guide, Maria, was wonderful. She took good care of us and was very sweet. We visited La Templa del Sol the next morning and learned a lot about its history. A wonderful tour. Highly recommend!
The Bolivia side of the Titicaca lake tour does not experience the Floating Island as the counterpart in the Peru side. My bad that didn't do the research thorough enough. This side of the experience is mediocre including long hours on bus/boat, but a nice hiking on the island that can see the runset and snow mountain. Staying a night on the island is quite but that is it.
Way overpriced compared to other options with same itinerary, and refused to provide alternative options when my flight was cancelled and couldn't arrive in La Paz on time.
Great 2-day adventure. Guide was thoughtful, knowledgeable and very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour!

Extremely well organized. Loved Lake Titicaca and Sun Island, but be sure to request a room down by the beach on Sun Island, or you will be climbing LOTS of steps up to the lodging well above the beach area. Most are set up high, and they advertise beautiful views, but trust me, just stay down below and hike up later for the views, without having to carry all your own suitcases, etc. Luckily, our guide gave us the heads-up so we requested a beach hostal and it was great. Remember, elevations are high here, so carrying a heavy pack uphill is not fun! Hostal Puerto Yumani is the almost new hotel, and breakfast is included. Very comfortable lodging and no hiking to reach it! It also serves lunch and dinner.

Ridiculously unorganised. Would not pick me up despite staying on the same road as the tour company 8 blocks away. No guide until I got to Copacabana and had no idea where I was going because only Spanish instructions on the bus. Guide was nice but didn't seem interested. just do your own trip cheaper
