My hiking experience in the north of Azerbaijan was truly amazing and deeply refreshing. Walking through the mountains, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and pure nature, was something I will never forget. I was warmly hosted by the wonderful Taimur family, who welcomed me with genuine love and hospitality. Their kindness made the experience feel like home, even in a remote village. One of the most magical moments was seeing an icy waterfall, frozen in time — a sight that perfectly captured the raw beauty of the region. The trip lasted 3 days and 2 nights, during which I enjoyed delicious homemade food and stayed in a peaceful, remote village, completely disconnected from the noise of everyday life. It was a true return to nature. Special thanks to our guide and organizer, Miss Sabina, for her excellent coordination and support, which made this journey smooth, safe, and unforgettable. This trip was not just a hike — it was a soul-refreshing experience. 🌿🏔️
I went with my mum on this trip and it was the highlight of our holidays in Azerbaijan. We loved visiting all the villages and the experience of eating and sleeping in the local houses was amazing. The families that hosted us were truly welcoming. They made incredible efforts to make our stay comfortable. Sabina really helped to make the trip memorable for us by providing a lot of information about the culture and current situation in Azerbaijan. She had arranged all transfers, accommodation and food perfectly for us. I would highly recommend this trip of you want to discover the country beyond Baku.
It was a journey of discovery, we didn’t want to see only the city, and we went with Sabina 2 days hiking through the villages, the guide answered all our doubts and helped us a lot. We loved to see those villages from where you can delight in the views of the summits of the South Caucasus. I have to stress the hospitality of the people of the villages. With how far away they live as they manage so that the visitor does not lack anything. My regret is that I can't extend the days for these towns. If you plan to go, devote a whole day to see Khinalug at an altitude of more than 2,000m. is on the list of UNESCO’s historical monuments. On the 2 day route we pass through the stunning Icefall. Thank you to Sabina for taking us to such a great place.
We had a great couple of days on the Khinalig-Griz hike with Sabina as our informative guide. The scenery and hospitality were both fantastic and arranging everything beforehand was very easy thanks to her responsive communication in excellent English. Thoroughly recommend Sabina and the business she has built.
A great experience. First day was unfortunately foggy but we awoke to beautiful weather in the next morning with wonderful panorama during the second day’s hike. The hike itself is varying and definitely a highlight for us who have hiked in the whole world. The food at the village people’s homes was excellent with lots of new tastes. We felt welcome at all the places we ate and slept. Our guide Sabina was great, she explained everything in excellent english and seemed to be friend with everyone in the mountain villages. The tour organization was well and detaljed. We highly recommend making this hike!
