2-Stunden-Wal-Ausflugs-Tour

This was my final whale watch before having to leave Maui and return to the New England winter. We saw many whales breaching and tail slapping. Loved all the activity and being out as the sun was setting was extra special. A very enjoyable trip. Were (when) I am able to return I would book with this company again but perhaps on their 12 person boat. I don’t think the extra cost of a 6 person experience was worth it to me.

Really a great trip. Saw whales, turtles. Hosts were very good. A really good morning.

Amazing experience on the 2.5 hour ultimate whale-watching tour from Mala on the Aloha Kai with Derek and Lauren. Saw many whales close up including an active mother/calf and a large competition group. So nice being on smaller boat with only 2 other guests in addition to our family of 4. Derek and Lauren were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable.

We took the three hour whale watch out of Mala Ramp for six people. Small boat but great whale sightings!!! Sarah was our naturalist and Derrick (?) the captain. We saw many whales and their calf’s. Highly recommend!

This was not as described on Viator. VIATOR listed snorkeling, sun screen, water provided, equipment provided--all NOT on the WHALE WATCH trip. Also VIATOR photos showed a boat with shaded cover--not the open pontoon we were given. BOOK DIRECTLY with the company--the info is accurate in their site. It was a good experience, and the company did all they could do. But this was not what we thought we signed up to do.

We took the 2.5 hour Ultimate tour on the 6 person boat and had an amazing experience. The crew were so friendly and knowledgeable. They took us on an exhilarating ride to find a perfect spot for seeing whales. We saw a mother, calf and escort, and then followed a “competition” among 6 makes to impress a female for almost an hour. The whales came close to the boat and were breathtaking to see. Highly recommend!

We did the 2.5h adventure in one of their whale rescue and disentanglement boats. There were only 6 passengers and we had so much time to hang out with a bunch of different groups of whales! When it would calm down in one spot we would jet over to where we saw more activity. Since it was such a small group, there was lots of room on the boat to get the best views!

We went on the Ultimate 6 guest Whale Watch 2.5 hour on Feb.2 at 10:30. There were only 3 of us in a small boat with back to back benches that held 3 people each Derrick and Lexi were out guides and did a great job. The water was quite rough but they took us south where it was calmer. We saw one whale that they kept calling weird because it was doing things that they don’t normally see whales do. It was sticking its tale out and sort of waving and doing the same with its fins. At one point it did 3 or 4 breaches. Then they found a mother and baby that showed off for us. While we didn’t see a lot of whales what we saw were great. I got great video of them. I highly recommend this company but if you get seasick easily you probably want a larger boat.

I called TripAdvisor's number to ask if this tour includes snorkeling and was told that it does. When we got there it was clear that it did not. The directions to the meeting point is very unclear to the point of being wrong. It brings you to the mall nearby but there is no instructions where to go afterwards. The directions of the beach from the parking lot is not at all obvious. I had to call (the phone number to the company has no option to just talk to an agent, I had to choose option 4 as if I were going to buy another tour to get to talk to someone) to find directions. Once we got over the hurdles, the actual whale watching experience was good.
