Kommen Sie und genießen Sie die „Stadt der hundert Kirchen“ auf diesem 2-stündigen Rundgang. Diese magische Stadt Lucca besteht aus Festungsarchitektur aus dem 16. und 17. Jahrhundert. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Städten ist Lucca ein friedlicher und langsamer Ort, an dem Sie sich auf Ihrer Tour entspannen können. Ab dem Amphitheaterplatz erfahren Sie, wie es auf den Ruinen einer römischen Arena errichtet wurde und ihm seine ovale Form verleiht. Danach fahren wir die Einkaufsstraße Via Fillungo entlang, wo Sie etwas essen und einkaufen können. Anschließend gehen wir zur Piazza San Martino, auf der sich mehrere wichtige Denkmäler befinden, darunter die 1070 erbaute Kathedrale San Martino (Dom von San Martino). A fascinating and comprehensive tour of Lucca, a gem of Tuscany. Ilaria was very informative and anticipated the needs of our group on a very hot day, mixing in breaks for shade and drinks without breaking up the continuity of the tour - highly recommended!
While our guide was professional and polite, this tour was a shadow of other private tours we have taken in other cities. Usually on a private tour you have an enthusiastic and friendly guide who is excited to share information both historical and cultural. Our guide was very exact on the historical elements of the tour and covered the main things you need to see in Lucca but we could have easily read this information ourselves. We didn't feel like we had the "extra" experience you tend to have with a private tour and came away feeling that we would not recommend it to a friend. It would have been more fun to have an audio guide and walk it ourselves. Our guide did not seem to like her job very much which is a little unfortunate.

Lucca is full of art and Gilda tried to give you the best of the city, talking about art, history, lifestyle of the locals and food. After reading your comment I talked to Gilda. She told me the exact words you ended the tour with her: " thank you for the wonderful introduction of the town. We really appreciated it ". These words do not match with your review. Lucca is lovely, and our guide was lovely as well! We saw so many things and learned a lot about the history of the town! The churches and walls were the most amazing!
